Really? I thought that was the most hilarious part. Well, besides Peter singing "Heracleum Mantegazziani" in his epic voice at the end.

^ Singing in that over-the-top voice, but I like this kind of over-the-top.

Genesis - Nursery Cryme - The Return of the Giant Hogweed

What a load of crap.

It's a song about weeds

Weeds are boring.

I'm not a horticulturist.

Ok sure the music is good but the lyrics seriously rile me, especially when Peter Gabriel sings 'Photosensitize'.

But Peter made weeds fun, entertaining! And I'm not a horticulturist, but I don't have to be to enjoy the music. A lot of us here said that we are in it mostly for the music, not for the lyrics. I'm not a big fan of the subject matter myself, but what kind of entertainment isn't silly (besides puzzles) ?

You know, that song is even better.

A prune isn't really a vegetable. Cabbage is a vegetable.

Not necessarily, I think. Some suggestions:

Vegetable Man - Syd Barrett
Green Onions - Booker T and the MG's
I Can Hear the Grass Grow - The Move

or another one?

I Can Hear the Grass Grow - The Move

Grass? Vegetable?

Bit tenuous isn't it?

How about (vegetarian) Supper's Ready?

I'm not sure if you guys really don't know what the song is or if you're just keeping the joke going.

Vegetables dream of responding to you.

No, I think I've ruined this topic now. I apologise.
