To quote all-time bad coach Denny Green: "They are who we thought they were... and we let them off the hook!"
Absolutely disgraceful display of coaching in the second half.  You have a runningback just rolling right over the opponents defense and you keep taking him out.  You have a QB that obviously can't throw like he normally would and don't even get the backup ready.
Baltimore are just not a good football team.
Mike Wallace looked like he could have cared less all game and I'm now firmly on the side that he not get paid by the Steelers.  All the drops, the fumble I eluded to earlier (that some people didn't understand, i guess), not setting his feet in the endzone with enough room (albeit not a great pass), not even making an effort to comeback on a ball at his feet (that any other coach would have seen as a sign to take the QB out).  It is an absolute disgrace that Baltimore gets a W for that effort and football gets hard and hard to wacth each week.  Thank you, ladies and gentleman, goodnight.  And before a baltimore fan tries to claim my statements aren't valid let me tender this response: you're a f**kwit to disagree.

Woot.

Aside from the cowboys eeking out victory, today was a pretty good day in the footbal world.

The Steelers are done! No playoffs this year. They can't win without Big Ben, too many penalties and turnovers. Yes, Mike Wallace looks like a sprinter that don't know how to play football. The Steelers are also missing some key players. They can't compete with The Pats, The Broncos and the Ravens.

They could hardly compete with the KC Chiefs.

I still don't think the Ravens are that good, so the season's not quite over yet.  The Steelers certainly aren't equipt to make a deep run without Ben but they also only play 1 team with a winning record the rest of the season.  The 1 winning record team they do play is the same no pass, no run, no answer for a power runner (other than the opposing coach inexplicably taking him out of the game every series after 2-3 touches) team they played last night that can only beat an injured Byron Leftwich with 2 turnovers and a punt return.

What I don't get is if you are averaging 5 yards a carry why not just keep on running and wear them out. 2x5=10.First down. As for Baltimore.......I did not see anything which made me think they were super bowl material. I was more impressed with Cincinnati.

Nah the Ravens really aren't very good. They are a solidteam and the AFC is really weak right now, so they will end up with a great record and maybe advance in the playoffs but I expect them to flop.
oh also the play calling on the Ravens is hideous. Yikes, I can't believe Flacco gets anything done.
I really don't think the Stillers are very good either.

I still stick with my darkhorse Broncos (ya like that??) though they are getting more attention now.
Moment Peyton showed he was healthy they were my AFC pick for the SB, and still are.

Texans are a better team, but if the Broncos defense keeps scoring tds it's close.

Houston would have tap danced their way into the Super Bowl, last year, had Schaub not been injured.  Top to bottom they are still better than any other team in the AFC so they'd be my favorite at this point.  Denver just lost McGahee for 6-8 weeks and I wouldn't imagine he'd come back at 100%, when he does, which will allow opposing defenses to key more on the passing attack.  Still a very good team (always liked the coach) but we'll see how they adapt.

Yeah, that Bears D seems to have absolutely no answer to anything the Niners are doing offensively. Of course, the Niners are doing so many things offensively tonight (as Gruden was kind enough to point out) that I don't see how a defense can keep up with it. Or their offense for that matter.

Also, Plaxico Burress supposedly met with the Steelers earlier today. I could actually see them signing him considering how beat up their WR core is right now.

^ but you might be right, they are desperate for someone who can actually catch the ball. Sure, Mike wallace is fast but you need to catch the ball first.

And I was hoping for a defensive slugfest!
Yikes.

San Fran total dominance. O line manhandled Chicago, Gore then ran like a banshee, this Kapernick looked great, receivers breaking tackles and getting tons of yards after catch. Defense just pwned Chicago in every facet.
Damn this is a beatdown.

I still stick with my original San Fran/Denver SB!

Reason I can't give it to Houston: Losing Brian Cushing has hurt, they really have little pass rush outside JJ "The Swat" Watt, Foster has been solid but not his usual beast mode, not much outside Andre Johnson. Will be a great team but I think in the end their lack of depth will be the downfall. They just seem very reliant on a few guys.

Losing McGahee sucks but they'll be fine. Denver can pull one of us off the street and have us run for 100 yards behind their blocks.

I'd love a Denver/Houston game anyway. Either way would be a great result.

I STILL say Frisco is the most solid complete NFC team, and has the players at each position. I was high on Smith  but he seems to be the only liability now.

Ah, bout time somebody mentioned my beloved Redskins.....  Wink

Sorry for the long delay guys, but now seems like the time where the NY Giant's BRUTAL sched will do them in.
I hate to even think it but I do think the Cowpies will win on Thanksgiving and overtake the Giants to win the NFC East.

Life is so good when anybody BUT the Cowpies wins the NFC East.  heck, the Giants won 2 Super Bowls in the last 5 years and I was actually happy for them.Confused

Can anybody tell me how many more games will Redskins fans need to suffer with those retards:  Mike & boy Shanahan???

The Steelers made a move to get some old players in the line up to replace the injured Big Ben, he must be gone for a while or they realized that they didn't have a proper back up to Big Ben. I don't know if it's going to be the answer to make the playoff but it's a start.
