That's loaded you say?
I meant just in scoring position. I guess it may have changed but just a couple of days ago yanks were the worst in that category.

Regardless, they suck at it and way more than they should.
Of course as I say that this one game against Cleveland has been pretty good (plus some solo HRs) but this has been rare.

Well, I nit pick because in the long run....I know exactly where they are heading.
But in the short run, gotta love how the Yanks are playing.
Pitching has really stepped up, and the offense has been playing well, even in the dreaded RISP area.

Season and post season will tell how long it holds up but right now is good times

Woot!  Tigers score 4 runs in the bottom of the 8th to turn a 3-2 deficit into a 6-3 lead.  Fielder drills a 3-run homer.  One of the rare non-solo home runs by a Tiger hitter this year.

Even with a loss to the Giants the Buccos are still in first place baby, Hard way to lose last night, 5 runs given up in the fourth. El Toro is killing the ball as of late.

Another win for the Buccos!!!! inching closer to that illusive winning season that I've long awaited for. Those damned Bonds and Bonilla boys.

That was pretty cool.  It is so rare that us Tiger fans have something to cheer about at the All-Star Game festivities.  Tonight, Verlander and Fielder will both be starting the game.  A Tiger starting the All-Star Game was such a rare occurrence between 1985 and the last couple of years.

All Star Game was a dud.  8-0 National League wins.  Verlander was awful.  5 runs in the 1st inning. Dead

That's what he gets for throwing 100 and 101mph.

Not enjoying the way the second half is starting out. The Buccos need to pick up where they left off.

It was an 8-6 win but it took 13 innings.Had it won 4-1 in the 9th and Jim Johnson blew the save, which is rare for him this year.

Not bragging because this was the only win of the 3 game series,Detroit kicked are asses in game 1 & 3.

Prince Fielder cracked us up though.First inning he tried sliding into third and did an awkward roll instead, looked like the Pillsbury Doughboy rolling in the dirt.He didn't hit worth sh*t,committed 2 errors(terrible defensive player),and spent most of his time at the bag yelling sh*t at people in the crowd and paid no attention to what was going on on the mound or at home plate sometimes.

We went to dinner with the score 4-1 in the 7th inning.  When we got back I joked that we should turn the game on because the Tigers probably tied the game up and the game would still be going on.  Sure enough, we turned it on and it was 4 to 4 in the 11th inning.  Tigers' bullpen really let us down by blowing 1-run leads in extra innings twice.

Last night's game however was an even larger disappointment.  Nothing like sitting in 100 degree heat to see the Tigers fall behind 4-0 four batters into the game, and 7-0 after the top of the 2nd inning.  The game ended up 13-0.  First time the Tigers have been shutout since last July.  Mike Trout hit a 3-run home run in the 2nd inning that hit the stairs about 2 rows in front of me and then bounced over my head.  I thought for sure it was going to bounce up and catch me straight in the nose.  If I had a glove on I may have tried to catch it, but I broke a finger once trying to catch a homerun ball like that, and wasn't going to tempt fate again.

Much better result last night with a 7 to 2 victory.  It was 20 degrees cooler, but it was so muggy it felt warmer then the 100 degree day the day before.
