Gees, I'll eat whatever comes my way, even my Yamaha keyboard. No, just kidding . I'll eat whatever food comes my way that is suitable to my taste. That said, "I only eat mushrooms that I know are safe".

Theres only one reason for purposely putting a fungus in your mouth and it aint cullinary.
Some mushrooms taste barely ok to me but most are pretty nasty and not a single one has a mouth feel that doesn't gag me. Even chopped up fine like half the size of a pencil eraser they will make me gag when they get in my mouth. My ex used to try and hide them in like spaghetti sauce but I can always feel them in therer being all spongey/slimey no matter how small they are. So you know what my vote was.

These are my favorite. I actually don't care much for other types. |

I've got a great recipe for non-psych mushroom curry I've been using for years... Typically use baby-bellas. Edited by Slartibartfast - June 17 2012 at 07:45 |

I like the legal, tasty variety, doesn't matter what kind so much, as long as they taste good...doesn't matter where I got them, etc.

On a more serious note, I adore fried up mushrooms with a bit of garlic, butter and balsamic vinegar. Works with almost anything (Just don't stir those suckers too much - or else you loose that crispy edge to them - and end up boiling them instead...)
