Well one thing the NFL can be sure of, it won't be me who's paying this bounty, I can't afford to go out for food at the moment

I've actually heard that for a few years David. They claimed fewer kids were playing football because parents were less willing to expose them to the risk, instead choosing soccer and lacrosse...which they say were really ballooning in popularity. Especially in Texas where football is like a religion.

Not sure if that was/is true, or even how accurate the overall statement "fewer parents want their kids playing football" but yeah.

It does seem a bit reactionary, and one the big reasons people piss me off is because we are reactionary and don't think football is what it is. Why would you care more now? Because there are "more" injuries or you're more aware?? It's sad when you hear the news we do but you must have some idea...a bit of a knee jerk reaction IMO.
It's odd to hear Warner say that, but if he was targeted with this bounty gate maybe he's just generally upset.

Ugh IDK, this is why we need the season to start!

Bengals had such a good draft. You might be able to steal some games with the injury.

I think the Bengals dropped some players they were glad to see go on the Cowboys and Giants. 

I think the Giants will be fine at LB honestly. 

Well I guess that report was correct, lacrosse is on the up and up...and Texas is the football mecca of America so maybe all hope is lost When all the current NFL players are retired the sport shall die and lacrosse becomes our new national hobby.

Yeah, I think the players we let go either had underperformed or were starting to get up there in years. I think they took the best pure cornerback this year in Dre Kirkpatrick, even if he does have some physical issues (like needing to put on a bit more weight), but given he's one of Nick Saban's kids, I think he's pretty much NFL-ready material, as well as Devon Still.

Honestly, I'm really happy with how the Bengals have drafted for the last 2 years. They're setting themselves up for a good decade's-worth of success. And I never thought I'd see this team do that.

The Bungles will fall short as long as Marvin Lewis is their coach.  Thankfully, they keep rehiring him.

I didn't learn much from it, but I thought Brandon Marshall wrote a nice op-ed piece here for the Chicago Sun-Times.

I'm content knowing that Bungles fans are fine with Marvin.  Hope they stay that way.  The cheapshot at Ben is off topic and does nothing to advance Dalton's woth, by the way.  I do think Dalton is a good QB.  One that would be better off playing under a coach that fostered growth instead of enabling destruction....  (Here's your return cheap shot): Why, just ask Chris Henry if he'd have been better off without all Marvin's help.

Eli on SNL was pretty good I thought........better than most athletes who try it......Except for Charles Barkley, he owns SNL as an athlete.
