Apparently, Cubs closer Carlos Marmol might now be available for the right price. Yankees could probably send a signed Derek Jeter baseball to the Cubs in exchange for him.
Oh yes, I do hate you "out to see the Yanks lose" folk. Sure, I always want the Sahx (as well as Cowboys) lose and IDC who does it, but I am above my own rules, clearly We're fans, no need for logic.
Honestly the 2001 WS hurt more. Until recently I pretty much wanted the Diamondbacks to fry in the AZ desert.
Oh and that 2003 WS wasn't so bad but a loss is a loss. Boy howdy I sure do recall a lot of WS

I am definitely an "out to see the Yanks lose" folk, but my dad was originally from Boston, so I was also happy to see the Sahx finally win.
Well 2001 had the 9/11 thing going on...so it just felt a little worse. Don't get me wrong, not like AZ should've let em win (which I'd not want) and we lost fair and square, just felt so much worse.
Though I like to point to that WS as proof games are not fixed or the Yankees benefited as so many say. If there was ever time for a fairy tale it would've been then after all!
This all could be for naught. Mo says he's coming back and if anyone could, it's that nut.

The Tigers have always struggled against Millwood, so don't be surprised to see another 3 to 2 victory in the 9th inning. This time when Valverde blows it.

Yeah Scott it's gunna suck having to actually ordeal through saves...but like I said Mo has declined a bit. He's human now. Not like a few years back when you could nap through it be assured of a save. All seriousness what can ya do?
Bases loaded before getting out of it on Tuesday. Bases loaded with nobody out and then blowing the save last night. Welcome to our world. Bwahahahahahahaha.

Yes yes yes I'll let you have your fun. Seriously, eventually the era needed to come to an end. I hope most Yankee fans will be grateful for what we had, and understanding that no one will be Mo.
(I still say the "classic" Mo era already ended...instead of being inhuman he was just a very good one, but whatever)
We'll see if Robertson can transition from 8th to 9th inning. I hope so, he was brilliant as a set up man.
