How in the hell did Humber pitch a perfect game against the Mariners? The first two hitters got hits again today.
You have got to be kidding me!!!!! A 3-run home run from Smoak in the top of the 1st and the Tigers are in a big hole once again. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I am listening to the game on the radio, but it sounds like Boesch completely blew Figgins flyball.

I watched the replay on MLB Gamecast. It is hard to say. It looks as though Boesch was kind of just coasting back to catch the ball and it ended up landing about 5 feet behind him. The announcers said that it looked as though Boesch thought that he had it all the way, so he probably misjudged it. It is pretty windy again today so the wind probably helped that one a bit.

This actually isn't entirely bad news for Detroit. In 1984, the Tigers started the season 35 and 5 and got swept by the Mariners. They went on to win the World Series. Last year, the Tigers were 12 and 10 and got swept by the Mariners. They went on to win their division for the first time since 1987 and made it to the AL Championship Series. So being superstitious and all, being swept by the Mariners is actually a good thing for the Tigers.

Well.....anytime the Ms can win 3 in a row its a party around these parts.
I fully expect the Tigers to bid for the AL Title.

After the game, the Tigers kicked Brandon Inge to the curb again. Kind of a sad end of an era, but quite frankly long overdue. I was really, really hoping that he would figure it out and get back to being an average hitter with decent power but starting the season 2 for 20 and booting just about every ball hit to him. Sadly, many "fans" are partying in the streets right now.

Ooofah.....hopefully they don't burn any cars in the Motorcity streets!
Question: Will the Rangers break the 116 win mark set by the M's back in the day?

I don't like him, nor do I like the Yankees. That's not how a guy should have his career end though.
