Tell me, can you prove a point without killing someone. I think killing someone kinda defeats the purpose of your squabble and especially when its about POSTS ON A FORUM for christ sakes. besides what difference does it make to hurt someone for their beliefs thats just ignorant. I was nearly hit by a car while using a walkman once. I was so engrossed in the music I didn't see where I was going and stepped out right in front of a taxi, the kamikazi pilots of inner city traffic. The brakes screeched and the car stopped just inched from me and the driver was livid. And the piece of music that made me lose all sense of time and place in such a potentially lethal manner? The first album by The Books! Anyone remember them? Or have even heard of them?

All: Those posts about Gdub "stalking" me, and targeting drug abusers, were just an inside (teasing) joke between he and I, OK?
I'm sure that Gdub is quite sane and ...nice -- with the exception of his (ahem) republican proclivities. What he chooses to do behind closed voting booth curtains is his business -- it may well help to hasten Armageddon and the end of us all (well, maybe not Maani), but it's his business.
Peace, Gdub!
Say "hi" to Spurious George for me....

^ It's called "polling the electorate"
I, for one, welcome Armageddon; if a bit of 'male bonding' helps it come more quickly, then all you backdoor men have my blessing. After all, wasn't it Shakespeare who said, "If sodomy be the food of love, bugger off"? I never get those quotes quite right...
Come to think of it, I have had some uneasy moments trying to change tapes while driving (yes, I said tapes...it's only in the past year that I've owned a car with a CD player). Switching from "The Yes Album" to "Close to the Edge" on the lonely desert highway between Vegas and Pahrump, I've run off the road at least once. Lucky for me there really isn't anything to hit out here except a joshua tree or two.

I've said it before: you missed your calling, Peter.
Now shut up and help me pull Larry Mullen Jr. out of my grill...

None of the U2 lads have the right poultry taste for today's feast- Bono especially is definitely more of a 'ham' entree. I'm salting them down and saving them for Easter, to commemorate the Uprising...or maybe I'll corn them for St. Patrick's Day, whichever comes first this year.
"Vertigo" isn't too bad, is it?

I was just wondering if anyone else here had heard of The Books. Would be kind of funny if I had risked my life, completely engrossed in the music of a band so peripheral and unimportant that no one else has even heard of them!

Very Nicely done review Mr. Gledhill. [/QUOTE] Thank you. I wrote it very late at night and have since edited it if you care to read it again. And no I would not want to kill anyone and once again I find myself apologizing on this site. I hope nobody was too offended with my stuoid remarks.
