^Those two are some recent discoveries. I thought of suggesting f**k Buttons for Electronic, but maybe they´ve got too much bas umph - you know the one you can dance to.

Hey Rico - where did all your reviews go?

But Autechre's IDM is much better than Aphex Twin, for instance. RD James should just stick to techno and ambient. Drill and Bass is pretty terrible anyway. Autechre really has it all going for them, and Oversteps is great.

Not much! Only Changes and Larsen. But I think I discovered Larsen in late 2010.

Changes - folk band who started 1969. A predecessor to the neofolk genre.

Larsen - Italian band, I just checked and he/they are on progarchives, which I didn't expect. Categorized as post-rock.

I've heard lots of new bands though, but not really "gotten into" them.

A band I have only heard a couple of songs from is Liberte, lithuanian post-folk band. I liked what I heard...

I don't see success in suggesting them.

There are still around 100, I deleted the rest some time ago.

WHY RICO WHY?! Cry

As for the topic...hmm...it is difficult for me to remember such things. I've certainly been digging into Faust alot more lately, but I've known them for quite some time. Ditto for Miles Davis. Ditto for Tangerine Dream. I'm sure there is at least one more that fits this.

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

For 2011 nothing really new.  Got my first Mono album, my first John Zorn titled album, Jakszyk, Fripp and Collins, Bjornstad/Darling/Rypdal/Christensen, Ukab Maerd, is a Djam Karet spin off.

Herd Of Instinct, would be the only completely new to me band.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Any reason to that - I´m sorry if I sound a bit nosy, that is not my intention, but I think you write interesting reviews - and I can´t see why anyone would delete themSmile

I would say that this, with its marching band rhythms and altogether ethereal soundscapes comes pretty close to prog electronic - but only justTongue

Weren't Wild Beasts and Kammerflimmer epiphanies last year? (I precisely remember our '10 Mercury Prize debate leading WB down your path).

Also, you do know how PiticiGratis calls The Cure, right? LOL

I think the 2010 Mercuries were held in 2011, I need to check. But even if I got to know them in late 2010, I only really got into them this year. Same for KK!

I think I stopped reading PG a couple of months ago Shocked
