No reason for me to really reply since anyone can tell from my username my answer, but take this as my spraypainting of Kilroy Was Here on the wall.

This is like comparing caviar with fish cakes---both can be good if you're in the mood.

King Crimson because they never stay the same, they always change and evolve. I love Rush, but KC is just much more important to the genre in general.

Rush is good but KC is one of my all time favorite bands. IM(not so)HO the comparison is ridiculous. One is pretty much a hard rock band that has some progressiveness and the other defines what is prog rock KC is more....creative and interesting, and changed it up often. Rush is a good listen.

I really thought KC would be winning this poll by a much wider margin. I do like what I've heard of Rush, but I would say KC has reached higher peaks than Rush.
Anyone can think of at least one Rush song that could win a poll against "Starless"?

As difficult a decision as this might be it really is not that difficult for me. Rush have created something very special over the past 35 years and it is only now that it is becoming very evident the brilliance that is Rush. KC brilliance lasted for a couple albums after the big one and then it kinda died off, albeit the importance of that one album is very evident, the influence is massive for sure. Even Rush know it as they play KC before their shows.........
But Rush have done so much more and their influence continues to grow and you can see it in the band members that all they want to do is keep going, looking for that next great performance and recording.
The Rush train is still rolling..........no sign of stopping either. I think the day Rush hang it up will have a much bigger reaction/impact as compared to KC not recording anymore.
Rush

Er, if fanboys could vote Geddy the best rock keyboardist, they would vote Main Monkey Business over Starless. 'We' have no chance.
