I'm in the Chicago area. I am intending to hit both of the Chicago shows if I am in town. I might be out of town that weekend, but if not I will be at the show.

Is anybody here a member of The Web? I am tempted to join, if for no other reason that the free DVD they are offering right now, and the Christmas CD they send to members. I'm trying to figure out how much it would cost, since it is shown in pounds. I think it is $24 or so. Seems a good price for a quarterly magazine, CD, and any other neat things they decide to throw the members.

VERY limited tour.

That's too bad for their fans.

Eh, I am pretty sure most of the US fans are used to this by now. Heck, atleast they come over here. I'm not so sure a band like IQ, or even Eloy for that matter, have ever been here.

I just figured for a tour that has been long awaited, you would choose more than 5 major cities.

It is, in fact, a large undertaking for the band. Don't forget, they run a cottage industry, virtually untouched by major media and labels. They can only go where they are confident of making it pay.

Well I am delighted to say I'll be seeing the band tonight at Manchester Academy.  I suppose I am lucky they are playing my home city.  I'll take that Wink.

To say I am looking forward to this gig is putting it mildly.  The setlists from the recent European dates are absolutely amazing!  It will be the first time I've seen them since about '87 and I really can't wait Big smile.

Anybody else going to the UK dates?

I will of course report tomorrow.

Presently being evaluated by the neo team for addition.

However, all you good people on the Round Table, I can only say that I cannot recommend this exceptional album to you strongly enough. It really is quite brilliant, and all fans of modern day Marillion will find loads to appreciate within.

I agree.  I want them to come to Dallas Fort Worth, thinking if I see them live, I will understand what it is about them that the prog community loves.   Me?   I listened to  3 or 4 of their albums in the 80's. Not much.    What is IT that you people love about Marillion? What am I missing?

It's too bad it always comes down to money.

I listened to some more Fish-era today, after listening to more symph than usual

If you want to know what sounds better than Marbles on CD, it's Marbles on vinyl. Same with happiness, but even more so.
I love Vinyl

I wish it was me,i'd love to check out your ballpark and have a Marillion t-shirt.Detroit destroyed Chicago last night,i watched a little of it but man way too one sided.
I am listening to Happiness Part Two, and on the song Especially True, H sings about not understanding the rules of baseball and whatnot, and it made me think of this incident.  Maybe that was H in front of me, and I just didn't recognize him. Wink
