Experimental hip-hop duo from Newark, NJ.  Elements of drone, noise, industrial, and the occasional raga.
http://www.myspace.com/dalek

They did a collaboration album with Faust (yes, THE Faust) which is actually already on the site on Faust's page

The Oktopus, who makes up half of dälek, did a remix for Isis' Remixes and Reinterpretations album

they did an EP with Italian band Zu

and the rest of their material is also notable

I'd say either krautrock or avant-prog, but they're definitely progressive in some way.

inb4 elitists say "rap isn't music"

People probably will say "urgh, they're not progressive rock"

And then write a 1000 word review of Phaedra.

Ah, good ol dälek from 15 minutes away from me!

As ya know I'm a fan, and I don't even have a problem with, good, rap but it's not rock music.
I know, this isn't really the prog rock archives anymore but, well I'd need to hear a lot of their stuff. Not a knock on the group at all, and it is music but not sure where, if at all, they realistically fit.

guess you havn't seen my older comments? LOL
I reckon as a collab I should tone it down, so I will say.....
while each team is left to their own, I personally don't really agree with how additions have been going for a few years now.
Just one individual opinion there.

Listen to their album Untitled.  It's a single 45 minute long track is is basically krautrock.  There is barely even rapping, just a little bit of spoken word.  It's not on youtube, but I'm sure you can "find" it if you are so inclined

In fact I could probably upload it, but I'd rather not it will take a while

IIRC PA requires a band to have at least one album that fits the definition of any subgenre to be added.

Their collaboration album with Faust grants the band addition.
