Washington has not earned the right to win a WS yet.....Larusa should out manage him tonight to get the ring. ....but if not it will have nothing to do with Washington as a manager, it will be due to Rangers gorilla swings at the plate.

Last night was as like old Rangers........score 25 but loose by 1.

Wow...just wow. I went to bed down 7-4. I don't have a TV and they killed all the streaming I had found during game 1. Gametrackers are a lame way to follow sports but I do it alot.

The guy who caught the winning HR works in the same hospital with me. I read his name this morning and said "Wait, that guy's name is all over my charts."

I want the Cardinals to win, but my daughter REALLY wants it. She wasn't really aware of sports in 2006 yet.

I was supposed to play a gig tonight. The venue is deciding whether to cancel due to likely poor attendance. I was at a gig in 2006 when the band announced we'd won. It will be very wierd to be announcing scores from a stage.
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

I think he needs more time in as the skipper of the club.....and it was more of a reply to MoM's comments about Larusa being braindead and being bailed out by the Rangers bullpen.

In 2006, I was on the other end of the emotion scale on that one.  I am mostly indifferent about this years.  I went to bed at about the same time though, since Texas was up 7 to 4 when I called it a night.

Braindead might have been off but it was in the heat of the moment.  I stick by my larusa is an a****le comment, though.  "Throw at Braun's head.  If you miss, thow at his head again.  He can't keep ducking forever."  While that may not be an actual quote I guarantee that's how that douchebag thinks.

Also, I'd put a good bit of last nights loss on Ron Washington.  Feliz had a rough 9th but Darren Oliver?  Walking the one-world-series-game wonder Pujols to face, by and far, the best hitter in the series?  Then, just giving the tying run up with how deep he had the outfielders playing?

As I stated earlier......seems like the Rangers are falling back on old times......lets win with our gorilla swing! Playing OF deep assuming they will come back and score another 3-4 runs.
I agree, a lot of the blame lies on Ron's back last night, instead of playing the cheerleader in the dugout he should concentrate on what he will do in the next inning to hold the lead.

Texas can score a lot and should win this thing......they should have won it 4-1......its 3-3 now....gonna be good!

This has been a great WS, awesome.

The talks of "ah Larussa was trying to throw the series" and now "OMG conspiracy they want the Cards to win so they delayed that game to give em an advantage if there's game 7!"

How about just accepting Larussa likes to purposely make odd moves and the Rangers really could've put this away and not allow game 7?
Go Cards!

If it's a World Series, why is it only played in Merka?

^ Not all the teams are from America, one is from Canada and a couple are from NY.

If the "World Series" didn't predate baseball existing in other countries I might be with you on this argument.  When the World Series started the baseball world was the US.

Epic failure by Texas.....I am am so glad Cards won it all. Texas reverted to their old ways. Monster hitting does not make up for horrible pitching. Washington could not get is done.

Nice job St Louis!!!!!

Baseball is now meaningless.  Last years winner was bad enough but two mega-duds in a row, awful.

nah old joke is old, and told better by Eddie Izzard.

This WS was pretty exciting. It was also pretty  terrible, but that's why it was so exciting! Like when 2 football teams with horrid defense have a back and forth shootout ending with like 80 points.

The Rangers display was really pretty shameful. All congrats to the Cards, I like them and they certainly earned their way to the big show but sh*t...the Rangers couldn't have made it much easier.
40 walks? Hit batters, poor defense.

The "genius" La Russa mismanaged two games and I don't buy that BS about the "phone not working" and "crowd noise" like there was no way to find some way to communicate?
These teams had issues but hey, that's why we got playoffs. The best 2 teams got eliminated first round so what can ya do?

Congrats to the 2011 Cardinals

Now Yankees, just cut to the chase and send a freight tanker of money to Albert Pujols now Cry

Congrats to the Cardinals.  I found myself rooting for them last night after their epic win in game 6.  Kind of an amazing story on never giving up no matter how far behind you fall.  I think that they may need to consider sharing their WS winnings with the Atlanta Braves to thank them for their epic collapse which allowed the Cardinals to catch them to even make the playoffs.

Are the Yankees going to even participate in the Pujols/Fielder sweepstakes?  With Teixiera at 1st base I kind of figured that they wouldn't have much interest.  I figured if anything maybe they might go after Fielder to insert as a DH.  I think Pujols is going to stay with the Cardinals, but if not, then he will probably end up with the Angels or maybe the Cubs. Shocked

Mega-duds don't win championships.  Congrats to the Cards!!

If you were referring to the game itself, that I can understand.
