RAYS HOMER WITH 2 OUTS IN BOTTOM OF THE 9TH.

And Kimbrel melts down.

Yes what a great finish so far.

The Braves did a total meltdown. Though....they hard it far harder than the Cards. The Cards just had to beat the Cubbies and the Stros to crawl back into it.

I don't really follow baseball too closely but all I can say is:

LOL Bosoxes. What an excellent turn of events.

Only problem with last night is that the Cardinals won. Would rather have played them after they had to beat the Braves in a one game playoff.

Yeah, they're going to be tough in a short series.  I actually worry more about this series than I do the NLCS, if we get there.

Damn what a night!!  Good for Tampa Bay and the Cards.  I will shed no tears for Sox and Braves fans.

I don't know why, but I'm more worried this year than I have been the past two years about NLDS, the NLCS, and the World Series. It's not so rational, but yeah I agree the Cardinals kind of scare me.

Boston just needs to top New York in every way, and this time they did succeed...in failing.

I remember (and loved every moment of ) the 07 Mets collapse. 7 game lead blown in 17 days (I believe) but the 2011 Red Sahx have done better.
Failure over such an extended period, and the Mets had no real good pitchers at the time...Boston still had Lester and Beckett. Wild.

Of course the rumblings of "waaaaaaaaaah yankees threw all those games" but sorry that is some BS. They did take some easy, but hey even if they were thrown how the hell did Boston do so bad, especially with what they had?

Anywho, here we come Scott Big smile

God, I can't stand the Yankees! Here's hoping our Tigers do a repeat of 2006 on NY.

I only play the Arrogant Yankee Fan role part for amusement and part to keep myself hopeful because in reality...I'm a but worried about the team. It's tough to say because hell, how can I complain?? Sadly, unless they can prove me otherwise...this year they feel like a paper tiger to me.

Big and impressive, stands on its own...but when a strong wind comes (the playoffs and especially later series) I think we'll see how it tears. Sadly, we don't have the Twins to beat up on either!

I do find it amusing when Yankee haters (especially for not as successful teams) cling to "when they beat em" because it's all they got.
Reminds me HS when the Mets would sweep us in one series and their fans would live in that time the whole year! Sometimes they'd even admit that's because it's their only joy LOL

But I'm used to it:

Tigers certainly will be tough.  Looking forward to the start of the postseason tonight.

I really feel like Texas will easily dispatch the Rays; all the other series should be close (even though I obviously hope I'm wrong about Phillies-Cards).

I'm thinking

Yankees in four
Rays in 5

Brewers in 4
Phillies in five

I hope that you are wrong on your Yank-mes prediction.
