Yes, I am hoping that someday I will find out who will be playing the Tigers. Wink

I am so upset with the Angels right now.  I thought that the Tigers were in good shape with the Angels throwing Santana and Weaver against them in the last 2 games, but instead they are throwing the games by pitching hacks.

It is rather odd, particularly since Weaver could win the ERA title if he pitched a good game. He's at 2.41 and Verlander is at 2.40. The manager's B.S. about saving Weaver for next year makes no damn sense. So much for teams fielding a quality product for fans. If I were an Angels fan, I'd sell my damn tickets.

I'd rather start off at home for personal reasons.  I don't want to have to take 2 afternoons off of work next week.  If the games start at 8:00 though, then it won't matter.  It might actually be to the Tigers' advantage to face the Yankees now in a 5-game series instead of in the 2nd round in a 7-game series.  Especially if the first series goes 5 games and Justin Verlander isn't available to pitch until game 4 of the ALCS.  Also, both Red Sox and Rays will be a tough 1st round opponent.  The Rays are hot right now and have 4 good pitchers who can steal games; and although the Red Sox are really scuffling right now, I don't think that you can really count them out.  Especially, if Bucholtz is available to pitch in the 1st round.

I suppose the Yankees would be the best draw, even giving up home field advantage. Verlander and Fister pitching in NY gives us the best possible shot. Scherzer pitches better at home anyway (although he has been incredibly inconsistent). I just pray Leyland leaves Penny off the roster. He has sucked the whole year.

Cardinals need to finish this tonight. They're a flawed but dangerous team. Could be fun or another fizzle. Hoping.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

That would bode well for the teams that are already set. The Cards have the easy route playing the Stros.

Off to see the last regular season game of the year.  Cold and wet is the forecast.  It'll be interesting to see if they keep it in a delay until the Ranger's game is final and if the Rangers win they just cancel it.  Rumor is that if the Rangers lose than they might play until 3 in the morning to finish the Tigers game tonight.  Although, maybe we'll get lucky and the weathermen will be wrong.  Go Tigers!!   Go Angels!!!

Jays finish at .500 and 4th place in the AL East.  That's where just about every pre-season prediction had them I believe.

Looks like that, but Orioles still have this one in reach.
