Oh, I saw it alright, but backwards compatibility is kinda like ... cheating. Plus RE4 was released on GC originally. Seriously though, vote for whatever floats your boat. As for me, I started gaming on the NES as a wee lad so I should have probably voted for that, but then again I'm not the kind of nostalgic person that Nintendo capitalizes on. Ultimately I went with the N64 and solely for all it's done for 3D (not stereoscopic) gaming, which is a good dimension. Also being the last innovative thing they've done.

N64 easily.So many great games like Ocarina of Time,Goldeneye,Rogue Squadron,Banjo Kazooie & Tooie,etc.
I have been playing my DSi XL quite a bit lately though, there are some great RPG's and JRPG's on that handheld.

The last gaming system I had other than a computer was a thing that did pong and hockey in black and white.

Was it one of those ones where the difference between pong and hockey was that for hockey, you hung net-shaped stencils on your tv set? The same thing for the soccer version? Color difference? Or just a few more pixels on the screen to act as goal posts?

As great as the NES and the N64 were (and Ocarina of time pretty much ties the score), the SNES wins. Too much greatness.

I have owned SNES, N64, Gamecube and WII. I missed the NES due to impossibility to afford it when I was a child. I played it a lot in friends' houses though. The first one that my parents could afford was the SNES. And Super Mario World just because of that (and because is a f**king awesome game) pretty much wins this competition by itself, not to forget Zelda: A Link to the past, SSFII, MK2, and the million other games I can't remember now. But N64 had Zelda: Ocarina of Time. SNES wins by a hair.

SNES for sure. The N64 was awesome, but it's limited library held it back a little bit. Plus, it didn't have any of the awesome RPGs or the Mega Man X series to help it along.

SNES or N64. I had to jump over to Nintendo from Sega after Playstation/Microsoft etc came into the market during Sega's fade.
Damo! I have a hanafuda set made by nintendo, but it doesn't have the nintendo characters - instead it's a little more traditional, it's this one: |

Mega Man X1-X3 alone is worth it! For me, of course... |

Too damn tough to choose, obviously the SNES has amazing nostalgia factor but looking it at strictly as is....obviously newer systems are better and as a kid...you'll like most anything.
N64 was awesome, classic games. The gamecube had some of my favorites and my brother and I played the hell out of it. Then XBOX became a god to me and nintendo never made much else good. Edited by JJLehto - October 07 2011 at 11:36 |
