I'm not sure how many of you play video games but I'm curious to which one you like. My pick is the Gamecube for a special place in my heart

I have a Snes and a N64. I liked the latter better than the former, despite the playing the SNES more and that the N64 is broken, even though it is much newer.

In terms of value for money, I like the GameCube.  It's not my favorite system, but pretty much every second hand store I know of is practically giving them away.  The older systems like NES and SNES, though not really much more scarce, usually sell for much more and in worse condition.  There are some solid titles onthe GameCube, and the graphics are good enough for me.

My favorite is probably NES though.  Simple, but classic games.

Interestingly enough, the N64 was responsible for Nintendo's loss of market sharein spite of having so many good games.

Go figure. . .

SNES followed by NES with nothing else even remotely close.

I'm torn between the SNES and the Wii.

I wonder if many voting here actually owned a NES or SNES system.  My third choice would be NES, by the way.

I grew up playing friends NES' and SNES', but the first Nintendo I owned was an N64. I have huge nostalgia for games on each system (Mario Bros, Super Mario World, Zelda series, Conkers Bad Fur Day).

For a while there, I owned SNES, N64 and a GameCube. I got rid of them, and my Sega Genesis, when I got my Wii. Why? Because every game I owned that I still wanted to play was available in the virtual console (or a Gamecube game, the Wii is backwards compatible). Being able to play my favorite games from 5 other systems + its own games (and the Wii does have a few good ones, RE4 and No More Heroes for example) makes the Wii the victor.

Yes I did know that. They were formed as a card playing company in 1889 and Nintendo roughly translated to English means "leave luck to heaven."

Oh, I saw it alright, but backwards compatibility is kinda like ...  cheating. Wink Plus RE4 was released on GC originally. Seriously though, vote for whatever floats your boat.

As for me, I started gaming on the NES as a wee lad so I should have probably voted for that, but then again I'm not the kind of nostalgic person that Nintendo capitalizes on. Ultimately I went with the N64 and solely for all it's done for 3D (not stereoscopic) gaming, which is a good dimension. Also being the last innovative thing they've done.

N64 easily.So many great games like Ocarina of Time,Goldeneye,Rogue Squadron,Banjo Kazooie & Tooie,etc.

I have been playing my DSi XL quite a bit lately though, there are some great RPG's and JRPG's on that handheld.

Was it one of those ones where the difference between pong and hockey was that for hockey, you hung net-shaped stencils on your tv set?  The same thing for the soccer version?  Color difference? Or just a few more pixels on the screen to act as goal posts? LOL

As great as the NES and the N64 were (and Ocarina of time pretty much ties the score), the SNES wins. Too much greatness.

I have owned SNES, N64, Gamecube and WII. I missed the NES due to impossibility to afford it when I was a child. I played it a lot in friends' houses though. The first one that my parents could afford was the SNES. And Super Mario World just because of that (and because is a f**king awesome game) pretty much wins this competition by itself, not to forget Zelda: A Link to the past, SSFII, MK2, and the million other games I can't remember now. But N64 had Zelda: Ocarina of Time. SNES wins by a hair.

SNES for sure.  The N64 was awesome, but it's limited library held it back a little bit.  Plus, it didn't have any of the awesome RPGs or the Mega Man X series to help it along.

SNES or N64. I had to jump over to Nintendo from Sega after Playstation/Microsoft etc came into the market during Sega's fade.

Damo! I have a hanafuda set made by nintendo, but it doesn't have the nintendo characters - instead it's a little more traditional, it's this one:

Too damn tough to choose, obviously the SNES has amazing nostalgia factor but looking it at strictly as is....obviously newer systems are better and as a kid...you'll like most anything.

N64 was awesome, classic games.

The gamecube had some of my favorites and my brother and I played the hell out of it.
Then XBOX became a god to me Tongue and nintendo never made much else good. Cry

The N64 was the best platform of any era, hands down, if by nothing for all the amazing and original software on it alone.

We've owned...NES, SNES, N64, skipped Gamecube (though I've played it extensively at friends' houses), and Wii of the consoles...I've had Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Color, and a DS Lite.  They're all entertaining in their own way and pretty much all have great games, but I spent the most time by FAR with N64.  The next closest would be GBC or DS (because of Pokemon games).  N64 gets my vote!

.I voted for Gamecube.  But Yoshi's Island on SNES is one of the best video games of all time. 100% on every level. No big deal.

Oh and the Zelda collectors edition for Gamecube is one of my best purchases of all time.  It has Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, the original one, and The Adventure of Link

For those of us unfortunate souls who owned an Atari, that NES just was so good that I have to vote for it. What a fine machine it was. I'll give all due props to the SNES and the N64, but that NES was something special.
