Hi progheads!

Today's update will feature 5 more brilliant CD's to our growing list. With the danger in mind that there's a lot to digest, there's also a lot of joy in discovering new artists.

Please check out these new ones:

- Earthling Society "Stations Of The Ghost"
- Atrium "2011"
- Lisa LaRue's 2KX "Fast And Blue"
- Solstice Coil "Natural Causes"
- Albatros "Ursus"

If you find any link incorrect and/or something missing, e-mail me immediately.

Share the albums you like as much as possible on your Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and so on. Spread the word of all the fine music we encounter daily. 'Like' the album you're listening to.

Support the bands by buying the CD. They all need it.
Also, please find the donate button. Keep Progstreaming streaming.

Thanks for the info! I actually *need* these kind of stories, to tell to the bands, so keep em coming. Especially labels are more afraid that people will more DOWNLOAD thanks to Progstreaming, but that's the world we live in. Luckily there still plenty of people who want to support progrock-2011.

If I were a progband, I would actually be honoured if I was downloaded a lot. Progbands should worry if they can't be found on the internet. But then again - I do understand the position label's are in.

Gevende are very good!

How about an "embed" feature for the audio player? Bloggers might want to promote the albums. And as the music is all underground, I don't think much of an burden on your bandwidth would occur.

And one technical request for the player: can it be made to show what track it's playing?

I agree with that Alex. It would be good the player to show which track plays.

Thanks! I've discovered Gevende myself a couple of weeks ago, wondering what progheads will think about it. It encourage me to hear they very much like it. I'll have Hidden Orchestra within a couple of weeks, one more release that's a bit more adventurous.

About your features: if I had all the features that I originally wanted in Progstreaming, the site wouldn't have existed yet. So I had to make some though choices to make sure the site would actually appear. I've been pre-working on this with little means (so, support through the donate-button, way at the bottom of the site, would be welcome indeed) to get this site going.

That said, those features are the ones I look forward to conceive in Progstreaming version 2.0. I'm saving for that now. January 2012 at the earliest.

A couple of weeks ago I've stumbled upon a unknown Australian artist named Ben Craven.

The first thing that I noticed - of course - was the Roger Dean-artwork:

More important, of course, is the music, which is very good:

http://www.progstreaming.com/2011/08/17/ben-craven-great-terrible-potions/.

The album came out August 13th. Go and get it!

Great effort, Progstreamin'Clap

I like your concept which I think in the end will be beneficial to the artists. I for sure will check out Lazuli's and Riverside's entire discography. Also found other releases that disappointed me - no need to mention the bandsWink
