I've tried three times to listen to Snowfall on Judgment Day and each time almost killed myself.  Somehow people like it, but I don't get it.  I like a lot of progressive metal, but this is completely generic and melodramatic.

But come on, even if it is generic, that doesn't make it THE WORST ALBUM PA. That just sounds like you're describing a bad to mediocre album.

Well, I reviewed and then sold a Abigor demo again and bought a vacuum cleaner for the money. The difference is that the vacuum cleaner is more musical than that demo + it is a very good vacuum cleaner too. You cannot go wrong with a Dyson vacuum cleaner.

LOL Just had my best laugh of the day.

I've heard one Abigor album, and it was actually very good; although it was their latest one.

I would say just studio albums, because its taken for granted that demos aren't all too bright for the most part. I remember hearing a Triumvirat album that made me puke.

Sick .... *gulp*
you don't mean... "Russian Roulette" .... Dead

St Anger, from Metallica. Simply disgusting.
"Prog is Not Dead and never has been." (Will Sergeant, from Echo And The Bunnymen)

Wow, that is a really terrible sounding piece of work. Great review though

The four "Parachute Years" albums by John Zorn (Lacrosse, Hockey, Pool, and Archery) are all pretty bad. Good luck sitting though one of those.

Not to disrespect Zorn, of course. But those albums suck.

Oh you. Tongue

I see what people hate in it though, I've just got weird taste.

Hahahaha. See Conor. I told you to brace yourself.
I also see it seems to have made a big impact on you.                       LOL

Give those Gigantic Brain releases a listen, the first one not so much, but the ones after will help cleanse your eardrums.

I thought my record label had released the worst album ever. The recording was a shamble.  The drummer...... let's say his drumming was "innovative" to the the extreme. The album is a pre-pre-demo although recorded in a pro studio. Not even the threat of torture will bring myself to listen to this album again. Just the thought about this album makes me cringe.

I braced myself for the reviews........... which was very positive.  Some even branded it as a classic album and someone is now re-releasing it. To say that I was/is shocked is a gross understatement.

What I brand dirt is someone else's diamond.

Hmmmmm........... Nobody has so far mentioned a certain US band whose interview I did with them and albums created the collective highest blood pressure ProgArchives has ever experienced. Maybe best to forget this...... Wink

Word.

People tend to cite this as famously hateable but I've never heard it:

Someone mentioned them on the first page but, surprisingly, no blatant bashing.

Surprised the usual suspects like Love Beach or Invisible Touch haven't been bashed yet.  Anyway, Timeline is, like, several times worse than these or Civilian or Big Generator...and badly produced too.  From the prog related section, I pick St Anger and Born Again (Gillan's most embarassing performances on this album).
