Plus Robert Fripp collaborated with Hall on what became Exposure/Sacred Songs (which surprised the Prog world at the time but it now seems clear there is more substance to Hall & Oates than meets the casual eye)

About all you quote, i think The Doors is quite frowned by prog fans...

I like Morrison's way of singing.
In my opinion, their best song is "The End" or "L.A.Woman" OR "Break on Through", check those out if you haven't ^^

I love the Doors, though english is not my native language, it's the music that clicked on me at first times ( in the late sixties) not only MORRISON character and even if the tracks are short, Strange days, for instance has some progy times

At the time,in France, most of teen (as me) didn't understand one single word ( yes maybe one or two words LOL ) but they felt the music as fantastic

I would imagine that a lot of prog fans would dislike most electronic dance music. And I am quite a big fan of some of it, in particular 1st and 2nd wave Detroit Techno.

Also certain forms of indie rock that I listen to.
