I watched an inning of the game on an Atlanta based channel, and my god are their announcers boring!!  It gave me a greater appreciation of the announcers Toronto currently uses.

Romero hasn't been helping my fantasy team as of late. Not like there are other options available this late into the year.

He's the best player in the game. He's a HoF player in his prime. You always get paid for your peak years of production during your decline in baseball. That is nothing new. Why shouldn't he want that contract? Look at the contract Howard got. And Pujols is a lottttttttt better than Howard.

Yes he is the best in the game at this moment, although he is having his worst year ever, it just makes me sick to think that the salary escalation will never end in sports.

I would like to see the guys who's dream of playing in the big leagues that are career minor league players have something to fall back on when their playing days are over.

Don't blame the player. You would fight for the largest contract too.

They should have brought Pujols in last night to pitch the 8th.

Classic example of why Tony LaRussa shouldn't be managing a team.

Cleveland, Chicago, and Minnesota are all smiling now.  The Tigers re-activated Brandon Inge and recalled Ryan Perry from AAA.  That should send the Tigers into a tailspin for a while.

Crossing my fingers that my cousin (Jason Donald) gets back to the Indians- rehabbing an injury- with AAA Columbus right now.

I GIVE UP Cry

Not really, as bad as the Royals look now, there's (sadly) improvement from last year. LOL

They have an incredibly sick far system so your pain will be short lived.

We always do, half of our team is so young, I can't help but be a little bit hopeful. Game has been interesting so far tonight.

I picked a bad weekend to not watch any baseball.  The Jays swept the Cardinals.  No Pujols, but still.

Nice win from the Yanks.
Way Ivan Nova has been pitching I'm slightly less worried about their future, but just a bitLOL

A great game at the ball park today.  The Tigers retired Sparky Anderson's #11 in a pre-game ceremony.  My seats are right in front of the number so my ugly mug got lots of TV time this weekend. Anyhow, Tigers scored 7 runs in the bottom of the 8th to win the game 8 - 3.

^Cool pic.  Love Sparky.  His Reds and Lasorda"s Dodgers in the 70"s were fun to watch. against each other.  Clayton Kershaw another complete game  victory today  he is one of the few shining moments in a dreary season.

It was a pretty cool day.  There was a Who's Who of Tigers' history there today.  Al Kaline and Willie Horton appear in that picture.  Gates Brown, Jim Price and Dick Tracewski (sp?) were also there from the 1968 World Series Champs.  From the 1984 World Series team, Kirk Gibson and Alan Trammell were in the Arizona dugout, and then Milt Wilcox, Dan Petry, Dave Rozema, Lou Whitaker, Larry Herndon, Darrell Evans, Dave Bergman, Tom Brookens and Rod Allen were also there along with a couple of other players who played for Sparky after 1984.

Royals had a very good outing against the Cubs, I was particularly impressed with last night. It was just a pretty solid game and Luke Hochevar who has had trouble with staying consistent had a pretty great night which was fun to see.

This doesn't bode well for your cousin's chances of being recalled.  http://detroit.tigers.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20110627&content_id=21072114&vkey=news_mlb&c_id=mlb

Dodgers should play the Twins more often.  My god that is almost a months offense output for them today.  On the business front  McCeap filed for bankruptcy and  is asking the court to let him negotiate a TV contract in another attempt to do an end around MLB that already has denied him twice.. I have a feeling somone will need to take the team away because he won't let it go easily but i don't think Bud would have stepped in if he knew he was not going to win this fight. I just wish Mr McLoan would see this and walk away befofre he gives whatever he has left to his lawyers.
