The Actual Favourite Prog Song (Super Poll!)

Sigh.... yet another "best prog song" polll.......... but WAIT! This one is different.
I want you all to vote for your favourite prog song, personally. That is, the song you like the most deep down, not the one you think is 'best overall', or historically, artistically, musically significant....... just your personal song that gives you the most pleasure. This isn't a "voting" poll because there are limitless options, but you simply type the name of the song you vote for.
1) You must type the song, then a gap, then give a brief (no more than one paragraph) explanation as to why it is your favourite....... this is just to show that you aren't voting for a song because "it will probably win anyway"... or "it will sotp something else from winning" ..... or for other distorted reasons.
2) You can vote for any song, whether it's by Yes or Pink Floyd or The Beatles or Led Zeppelin....... the explanation will make the vote count or not (obviously, for a song that isn't typically considered prog, your explanation will have to justify it as a prog song for the vote to count).
3) No votes will be counted after "a date"...... which I will decide at some point but it will be some time away yet!
I'll submit my vote below as an example of the ideal layout.

	Close to the Edge Because it has simultaneously warmed me and sent shivers down my spine for my entire life of prog-listening. This song is unsurpassed in beauty and in significance to my life, not to mention a musical influence on me.

	Gentle Giant - Cogs in Cogs I love everything about this song. The way the instruments work together, Derek's aggressive vocals, the complexity, the lyrics, everything. In my opinion the best song by my favourite band

	The Lamia This song has the most amazing blend of beautiful, emotional music, and vocal presentation I've ever heard. Gabriel's enunciation of each syllable is like a musical ride in and of itself--sung like no other song I've ever heard: delicately, sensuously, emotionally, clearly, perfectly--as if each and every letter sound and syllable has an extremely important contribution to the whole of his story, of his message--a message of Rael's (our) pain and pleasure, innocence and fear, curiosity and rapture. The lyrics are pure poetry, they are in and of themselves music, they are words telling a fantastical story, they are metaphorically significant to any evolving human being, they are sensuous in an almost uncomfortable and embarrassing way and yet detail the dual nature of those first sexual feelings, fantasies, and experiences so aptly. And then there is the magick of Tony's piano, Phil's percussives, all culminated with my favorite Steve Hackett solo of all-time. My favorite song the first time I heard it; the most astoundingly emotional listening experience I've had in music--one which has never failed to move me to my core upon every single one of the thousands of listens to which I've subjected myself. Awesome "poll"!

	Serenity painted death of Opeth Because Mikael Akerfeldt has combined death metal with prog rock, I like the lyrics and this song there's in my favorite album Still life.

	I doubt many people in the Progressive Rock fan club could choose a "favorite song", in the hip-hop crib y'all, i think 'dey be chillin wit der fav sungz. Yeah, album would be better, but we already have a list. No offense to you.

	CTTE For me a prog song has to have magic---and be musically, other worldly--and this song has it all--it's moving and never sounds dated. (Having said that, there are many songs that fit that description and I have to agree with BrufordFreak about the Lamia)

	Mine is An Excerpt From 6,000,000,000,000 Miles Before the First, or, The Revisitation of the Blue Ghost. And yes I copied it from the official website For me it is the greatest song ever made from the greatest album ever. It has a pure and unique complexity without lack of feelings.

	Supper's ready That song is simply amazing and every time I listen to it I get the same feeling as the first time. It is a true love story and always keep me remembering that Genesis is my favourite band, even if I don't listen to them a lot these times.

	I have to go with CTTE also. To me, this song truly defines prog. The subtle beginning/end the build to the first round of lyrics, the musicianship throughout and the fact that it still leaves me in awe to this day all bring this song/masterpiece together.

	King Crimson - Fallen Angel, just pure perfection,from that wonderfull vocalline by wetton, the powerfull bass, the mellotron and the guitar is just wow, and that crisp drumming,,,,.wow

The piece builds up slowly and inexorably, reaching a plateau in the 'war' instrumental, but then reaching its crescendo in one of most bichin' Howe leads - dynamic and melodic. 	For me it's CTTE or Awaken. Since CTTE has been chosen already a few times, here's my ode to Awaken: This song touches me deeply within, musically and spiritually. Musically it's perfect, with great melodies, sublime piano and church organ and percussion. Spiritually the lyrics and vocals hit me every time to the bone...

	Funny thing, Omar, while I was writing my post upholding The Lamia as my favorite song, motW's "Excerpts from 6,000,000,000..." was one of the three other songs that tried to chip away at my confidence in my chosen one. (The other two: "Can You Hear Me?" by Renaissance and and "Streetwalker" by Jan Akkerman.)
