Although it would taste far better than going in, shooting him, and throwing the body in the ocean. Speaking of which....the pictures are not being released?? Ugh.....it really is times like this when I think "WOW! The government really can't do the most common sense things" NO LIBERTARIAN STORM PLEASE!
one can always make a demonstraiton to make the gouverment release the picture, and free democracy have the reigh to protest or to orgenise demonstrations in public places,,,
This is true, but most accept it (hell even AQ hasn't said anything contrary...and if they accept he's dead...) so I doubt they'll be much fuss. Besides, Wikileaks will hack it and release the pics and vids eventually
One can only hope. We can then compare it to Tupacs and JFK's autopsy photos.
The US pretty much picked this fight. Long ago. When they pretry much settled on holy land. And also when they armed Bin Laden. Twofold way of picking the fight.
Sorry for a massively late response
For the record: The US government sure. Roots of what led to 9/11 go back farther than most can even guess. However, the innocent people killed didn't pick any fights.
And I hate when people give the standard "no way, you put em in power" theory because being on this international site has made me realize everyone hates their politicians, and almost everywhere those in power seem to act with disregard to the people. Can't bash government "x" without responsibility and say the US people deserve whatever we get for being in the same boat...
Also, as you probably know Teo the US foreign policy of pissing off the Middle East, thus growing a group born to hate us, does go very far back. But go to a family who lost a parent/spouse because they were in work...and tell them "The US picked this fight because starting since World War I business interests have been raping the Middle East" and see how they take to that.
That statement in quotes is 100% true and deeply saddening to me, but I just wanted to make sure you weren't trying to say us normal people are to blame for picking this fight!

It seems up their ally, and Wikileaks might as well do something for good, instead of being self righteous, and find/release the info. NOT THAT IM ADVOCATING HACKING AND RELEASING A GOVERNMENT SECRET. I voted for you remember Obama? Don't send da police for me!

Indeed, good old Imperial Great Britain is responsible for laying down the roots of the majority of present day conflicts in the world, a fact I am utterly ashamed of.

Quite right you are, and of course Britain and France were the benefactors of carving up the Ottoman Empire and colonizing it.

Hell, it goes back way further than WWI. It goes back to the days of the Crusades. It just got even worse after WWI, and of course WWII, when Arabs were forced to move to make way for Israel.

True, but you can't blame the US then! And that's what it's all about isn't it?? Indeed, the seeds that have grown the tree of hatred towards The West (which America is the face of) are deeply deeply seeded. And people think going to a few wars will fix that mess!

Hey, look, we're trying. But seriously, empires have a habit of doing those kind of things.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...
Of course Steve while you can feel terrible for the past actions taken by a government we ourselves don't deserve any blame or to feel ashamed.
It's why I got so crazy when people lost their minds about Obama "kissing the ass of The Middle East" in that one speech when he semi apologized for wrongs the US committed. The US has taken some horrible actions, they were wrong, admit it, move on. Not like we had anything to do with it. While it doesn't do anything...I think it'd be nice to at least here "Hey I'm sorry for any sh*t my country may have done"

I guess im the only one who reacted abit odd that they used the code name Geronimo for Osama, I think that is not very clever or smart, and discriminating.

1. The mission isn't accomplished. 2. Obama promised to bring home the troops. 3. His financial aims would do more to destroy America than any foreign threat ever could.

No, you're not alone : the editorialist of the French communist newspaper L'Humanité also felt a bit disturbed by the use of "Geronimo" and I can feel the same way.

There was another bit where he roasted Obama about selling out, and Obama smiled but it jabbed a bit you could tell. At least Seth is actually pretty funny, compared to the tired Jon Stewart and Colbert routines...
...that moment you realize you like "Mob Rules" better than "Heaven and Hell"
I'm not impressed with his dealing with the economic disaster that was dropped in his lap, but this is just nonsense.
Visit the Libertarian Thread for the numbers and my assessment of why we are where we are.
The economic disaster was not really "dropped" in his lap. Politicians have throughout the past several decades created inevitable economic disaster, and further disaster is only inevitable.
More spending, more borrowing...eventually the boat is too overwhelmed and sinks.
I am not a doomsayer, but our country's financial state is one situation where I genuinely believe we are f**ked.
