HL2 felt much more like a Sci-fi shooter whereas Half Life felt way more lonesome/perilous/dangerous/scary overall IMO. I did play HL2 first, though.

Also said HL1 was insanely hard, on easy difficulty.

HL1 isn't necessarily as fun from a "sit down and shoot pretty things" perspective, but I feel like a lot more creativity went into that game. HL2 does have a great atmosphere though. I'm not saying either is anything less than a brilliant game, but I know I preferred HL1's story. |

I'm actually siding with Colin on this one; on a whole I think that Half-Life 1 is a better game, if only by a slight margin. Fetus boss and all lol.
Though I confess this may be partly sentimental since HL1 was the only the 3rd game I ever played after Banjo-Kazooie and Golden Eye, and it immediately won my pre-pubescent heart with its over-the-top gore (who didn't hack at the corpses with your crowbar until they exploded into guts + organs?). Of course since then I've replayed it several times and it never fails to completely engross me. |

I actually started playing Dragon Age 2. I made a warrior at first but quickly restarted as a rogue, which I'm finding a lot more enjoyable.
The stupidest thing about that game is that the differences between party members of the same class are almost negligable. Who needs 3 mage teammates? |

How long did it take you overall?
Also, you should download Alien Swarm, it's free and you could play with me and James |

I've decided, after I finish Mortal Kombat and SSFIV, not to buy any other games until Batman 2, Zelda 5948, Uncharted 3, Assassin's Creed 4 and the new nintendo console are released.

Mine's deceiving because I've left it on to do other stuff so my game play was 19 hours It took me a good bit though...maybe 12 or 13? I got royally stuck on some puzzles. And lol I had Alien Swarm on my original but we never played! |

Gah, I'm stuck in 1/3 of Portal 2. I don't want to use guide (of some kind), but I've been trying to solve that puzzle for hour and still to no avail. They say that it's about 9 hours of playing. Well, when you're not stuck in one place. Meanwhile - Fallout New Vegas - 89 hours of playing. Level 29, soon I will have to install mod to be able to get over level 35 :-D it's not fun to play when you're not able to LEVEL UP. |

There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

I beat Dragon Age 2 today. It was too easy on normal but I don't feel at all motivated to have another playthrough.
