I don't want Stephen Harper in office, and will not be voting Conservative today (think the news will get the Conservatives more votes), but I also liked the way he phrased that.  Much better than Obama's brought to justice rhetoric.  I would have liked to see bin Laden captured and brought to justice (tried), but understand that trying to capture him would be very difficult and dangerous (and might have led to a hostage situation).

TF1, you are sick.

Even worse, that's an amateur editing job that's over 2 years old, so there was no reason to air it at all. The US is still considering whether or not to release the actual photos because they're so graphic.

No they aren't. But you still fail to grasp the deeper concept behind "celebrating death" do you? Whoseever death it is, celebrating it is nothing to be proud about. I said I understand it and have nothing bad to say about the people who relatives died that day but it still seems sad...

Anyway why are you celebrating then? You were not personally affected from what I know....

Actually, I lived in DC during that time period and rode the Metro every day. There was a Hummer with Patriot missiles fairly close to my house for a while afterwards and on every Fourth of July because it's the highest point in DC. And I flew to Italy that Thanksgiving because of the cheap airfare. I was never very much afraid, to be honest, as I took a very, uh, rational views of risk assessment even then.

I'm not celebrating, I'm just tired of everyone on the internet getting on their moral high horse about this.

No they have a poorly photoshopped image.

The "tension" between Mr T and Mr HP is getting a tad boring. Please take it to PM.

Do they have images of his blasted face?

Yes.  They did say that some US media had released them.  But then I heard there were issues about them being too nasty for TV.  Apparently not for French kids TV though!
Help me I'm falling!

^ The only image I’ve seen so far is fake (ptotoshopped).

EDIT: The posts come in too fast here, so my comments are always too late.

Interesting.

Why is it not appropriate to celebrate the death of someone who if alive would be planning the death of some poor innocent? I am not being disingenuous about this, I am bloody delighted he's dead. Not so sure about the means but there you go.

Actually, Bin Laden slipped away to Argentina to live with a 122 year old Hitler, whose his new robotic heart has him gearing up for a comeback.

I'm rearing him and nourishing him in my basement sort of like a makeshift bunker.. The rehabilitation is not complete as of yet. Eva is doing well. But I can assure everyone Hitler will be ready for complete domination of the world soon. We are weaning him on games of Risk. But we got worried when he lost Poland. So the the therapy is still on the go. His appetite is returning and the surrogate German sheherd that we bought for him named Wolf he seems to like more than Eva.

I don't really feel any tension Tony (and you know I've been in discussions full of tensionTongue) It's actually a rational discussion

I see. Look, I don't claim ownership of a horse, much less a high one. Saying "celebrating Obama's death = bad" isn' the same as saying "celebrating death of anybody = sad". What the hell I understand we're failed animals after all...

I've just mentioned it once in this thread (and never in the last days since the other incident). Don't exaggerate.

Let's all agree nobody will really miss him. Nobody who is not a terrorist, that is.

Why would a dead guy look better than a living one?

Back on topic.

I hope someone brings all the murdering buggers to justice!

Bush, Blair, Obama, Peres, Cameron, Ghadaffi, Mugabe, etc, why stop at Bin Laden?
