Look at it this way, Ryan Rayburn is as consistent fielding at 2nd base as he is in left field. Wink

to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

NYY: 13-8
TB: 12-11
Toronto: 11-13
Baltimore: 10-12
Boston: 10-13

OK, so which 2 of these numbers make me very happy? Big smile

I was hoping the Jays would at least split the 4 games they have in Texas.  2 of the 3 so far, and yesterdays was a close game.  Though fan interference with Beltre on a foul pop fly helped us get 2 runs in the 7-6 loss.

Juan Rivera is finally starting to hit the ball after hitting near .100 all season.  Bautista continues to impress with his plate patience, and Adam Lind had a huge game 2 with 2 homers 5 ribs and 3 hits.  He did bobble a bouncing throw to first base, but they gave the error to Edwin Encarnacion.

The Tigers are on the verge of being swept at home by the Mariners. Ouch  That makes me very unhappy.

I feel your pain, as the Jays were humiliated in Seattle weeks ago.

haha!
For the record (well mainly just to rub it in) those would be the two. Big smile Though no Sahx fans have made their presence known in here.
Let's keep it that way Stern Smile

In all seriousness, I am a bit worried this season.
No Yankee fan can argue with the all runs being scored right now, but its very much through the home run...that can't possibly hold up all year long. Would like some more balanced offense. Even if it does, the starting pitching has me worried, come playoff time if things are not really fixed up I can't see New York making it real far.

The bullpen is pretty damn solid, but a tad shaky as well.

It is official.  The Mariners sweep the Tigers. Cry  And none of the games were even close.

4 of the Tigers 9 starters today had averages under .200.  I think that it is time for some changes.  Scott Sizemore is batting .400 and Dierks has 5 homers at AAA.  I think that it is time to go with the hot bats.

Oh wow, didn't even hear about this??? Confused
We all knew it must've been injury/illness of some kind. No one goes from that good to awful for no reason.

So I guess we own Detroit this year?? Don't feel too bad....Mariners starters are not too far off this pace.....J Cust must be let go (.177) and Z has to be held accountable for another disaster of an acquisition he made!

We are still 4 games under .500.....

I was concerned Ricky Romero was going to be clocked hard on a drive right towards the mound.  He lied down for a few seconds, but thankfully had a glove on it quick.

I just downloaded a new desktop schedule for May.  6 versus Detroit over a 12 day span.  What should I look out for, Scott? Wink

The Buccos split with the Rox. I didn't see that one coming.

Ugh.  7 losses in a row.  Most with absolutely no offense, and the losing pitcher being a reliever.  Big Potato got baked, or was that mashed, by the Yankees last night. And for the 17th year in a row, or so, the Tigers could do nothing against Mariano Rivera.
Glad to see that the first move has finally been made.  Rhymes has been sent to AAA and Sizemore has been recalled.  Hopefully that adds a fire.  Next step is to get Victor Martinez back in the lineup tomorrow.  Ordonez needs to be moved down to 7th or 9th out of the number 3 spot.  You just can't have your number 3 hitter hitting .150.

Tigers finally win with a 4 to 2 win over the Yankees.  It was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy too cold for a baseball game.  started at 46 degrees F and ended at 44 degrees F.

Guess there is such thing as a bad looking no-hitter.
