Now 4-6 and the same number of callers are phoning in "god, just sell the team now and build for next year. I was given a ticket for free and still didnt go!"

Blanton did his best to give the Mets a win, but apparently they still didn't want to pitch worth a damn.

Oh yeah, and their bullpen is honestly pathetic.

Just wanted to lol at Mets fans that had hope for 2 games. Unlike football...I have no loyalty to NYC. Yanks all the way, Mets are a sad sad joke.

Ozzie Guillen tirade is hilarious.  New closer Thornton is 0 for 4 in save opportunities. Big smile

Tigers win on a walk-off homer by Brandon Inge. That's two wins in a row and both walk-offs. A few more such games and we'll start hearing the stereotypical "Cardiac Kids" title.

It figures that the Tigs had two walk-offs during games that I couldn't make it to.

I predicted it. But only out of optimism and not based on any rational thought that I actually believed.

Toronto kicks off a 4 games series in Boston tonight.  Could really change the picture in the AL East.  Hopefully the fact that manager John Farrel was the Red Sox pitching coach last year can help our cold bats (Travis Snider, Aaron Hill, Juan Rivera,....) to finally get some hitting.

Four game sweep please. I rarely ask many favors of the Jays, so they should honor this one for me.

Yanks won in 10 innings. Mo ends getting the win.

Had to climb out of quite a hole, dug yet again by Hughes.
He better have an injury we/the team doesn't know about...otherwise we're watching a pitcher who went 18-8 last year now have 3 straight games with velocity way done and his movement has been horrid. Getting to the point where Hughes on the mound is assumed to be a loss.

Goods

Yanks 8th win, 6th save by Mo
He would need 37 more to break Hoffman's save record. Not cake by any means but actually very possible this year.

Geez! Somebody tell me something good that the Mariners have done to make me feel better, since I am failing to find anything positive so far.

Let me see...something good about the Mariners...hmmm...well, Pike Place Market is a place I enjoyed visiting in Seattle, and the bar scene was pretty cool. So the opposing teams probably have a good time when they're in town.

Don't feel bad. At least the Mariners didn't have any great expectations this year. I was expecting the Tigers to play far better than they have been. They are a rather schizophrenic team so far, making wild 9th and 10th inning comebacks some nights, while others they look like they've completely forgotten how the game of baseball is played.

True....Cal Ripken Jr was here on Friday in Seattle to open a new baseball youth program. He made it a point to mention Mariners are in a rebuilding project.

Seems like a never ending project though...
