Jared Weaver is killing the Blue Jays this afternoon. 11 strikeouts and only 1 hit through 5 innings.

Absolute beautiful day at the ballpark today. Just too bad that the Tigers suck.

Tigers don't suck, the Royals are just awesome this year.

awwww how cute...the Sahx fans in Boston are at the point of riot, over their 2nd win of the season.
It was a pretty horrid game though. Never saw so many people get on base, included bases loaded so many times, and still have the game 1-0 for so long. But hey, CC had to fight really hard, bullpen let us down and Beckett pitched great. |

No, besides the Royals playing quite well, the Tigers have been off-kilter for the first 3 series of the year. Usually it's either the result of the pitching putting us in a whole we can't get out of, or mind-bogglingly annoying errors! I've never seen such sloppy fielding.
P.S. Going to see the Tigers play the Chisox in a couple weeks. Edited by The Dark Elf - April 10 2011 at 23:30 |

What the intercourse is going on with Magglio Ordonez!?! He is not helping my fantasy team out at all.

He is not helping the Tigers out at all either. I don't think he has recovered yet from last year's broken ankle.

Also, Ordonez left the game in the 8th inning with "tightness in his right Achilles". Apparently, he played 2 flyballs into deep right field into back-to-back doubles for the Rangers, leading to their only 2 runs.

Jays give up a 7-0 lead going into the 7th to lose to Seattle. So much for the AL leading bullpen. Here's hoping that one was just a fluke.

He's out of the lineup today. Could be time for me to look elsewhere for OF help. |

They said Magglio is supposed to be out for a couple of days, but apparently they aren't putting him on the disabled list. Yeah Tigers! They beat the Rangers 5-4 with a bases loaded walk-off single from Miguel Cabrera, after blowing a 4 to 3 lead in the 8th inning. Hopefully, tomorrow they can break their one out of every 3 game series pattern.

Bonds convicted of obstructing justice that's all......Jury could not agree on verdict for the 3 counts of perjury. I believe obstruction of justice is still pretty bad and should be jail time??
Who knows? And actually I personally don't care what happens to Barry Bonds.

Tigers with another walk-off win against the Rangers today. Today it was Inge with a home run in the bottom of the 9th to win 3 to 2.

It sucks that the Rangers lose Hamilton. I've seen quotes of him where it seems that he was blaming the 3rd base coach for the injury, although he does admit it was stupid of him to try to run home.
He apologized to the coach later on: http://sportsblogs.star-telegram.com/foul_territory/2011/04/josh-hamilton-offers-apology-to-third-base-coach.html

Got out early enough to catch the end of the game on radio.
Yanks now 6-4, and Mo gets his 5th save. 6 wins, 5 of them saved by Mo....the old horse can still run. Hell, sounded like a pretty easy, efficient save as well. |

heh gotta love the fickleness of New York fans, especially Mets fans. They are even worse.
Countless callers were phoning in saying "look this team is good, there's some talent here. Post season is realistically possible" That was after 3-1. Now 4-6 and the same number of callers are phoning in "god, just sell the team now and build for next year. I was given a ticket for free and still didnt go!" |
