Prog CD shops in Paris?

Me and my fiancee actually went for a similar quest when we were in Paris for a couple of days, and Bimbo Tower was the closest thing we found. http://bimbo.tower.free.fr/ It was a really small, really weird place on this little excuse for a street, no signs on the window or anything. I'm not sure if it had any windows actually, it might have had a small sticker with the shop's name on the door. There was lots of weird obscure stuff, including a comic book about Kekkonen  If you're looking for some good clean prog, I'm not sure if they have any, but it's surely rich in avant-garde obscurities.

^True  I watched the game yesterday via internet, didn't look too good. I've been living in Helsinki for five years now but I'm still rooting for the hometown boys, during the season I'm trying to visit my parents on such weekends when there's a home game happening

If they focus on free jazz or experimental music (there is often some mini concerts played in this store), they have a nice little "prog" corner with some R.I.O. stuff, some Kraut-Rock, some Zeuhl... They also have a more little corner with some 70's rock.

Even if it's more a bookshop than a record shop, they have an interesting choice in second hand records, from CDs to LPs in many styles - including progressive/psychaedelic rock.
The only problem is that their record racks are a bit "disordered".

    what more could i say , its where i go each time i go to paris but you can try the FNAC too, les halles or montparnasse and there's a few other little shops, gonna try to check them for you

Speaking of labels, many Krautrock and avant-prog bands (especially Japanese) are in the their "Indie" section. The FNAC at the Les Halles commercial centre also has a lot of progressive rock. I think this is the largest music store I've ever visited. But their prices are a bit higher than at Gilbert Joseph, and they don't have second-hand.

I've been to FNAC at Les Halles! They have a pretty big selection of music! I was browsing and I found most of the things I wanted to buy at the time, especially the prog music. I don't see that kind of stuff here in Southern California, so it was like heaven to me.

I went to the FNAC just today.
I think I will keep sticking with Souffle Continu, where the same records can be found less expensive.
