I pre-ordered it after reading about it in Game Informer.Looks like a good game.

Anyone else looking forward to Rockstar's next magnum opus LA Noire?

LA Noire will be a day 1 purchase in this household!  Open world Rockstar game + detective story/setting + 1940's Hollywood = EPIC!!!

I've recently bought this laptop (or notebook if you wish):

http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=710_577_371&item_id=034415

And now, I can virtually play any game that exists for PC. 17.3'' screen is very nice for viewing (and watching DVD's), as well as for normal work.

I have finished Deus Ex 2 now and am playing Left 4 Dead and GTA IV.

¨EDIT: I'm successfully avoiding all MMORPG's.

There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

I just got fired from my job for having long hair.  So I'm probably about to start playing through Skies of Arcadia again, the re-release for Gamecube.  To me it's the all time most underrated game, it's a crime that more RPG fans don't know it.  On top of this I will be playing through Ocarina of Time followed by the master quest version.  I've lost all motivation to anything productive so I'll probably be playing lots of video games.
Which of you to gain me, tell, will risk uncertain pains of hell?
I will not forgive you if you will not take the chance.

Crysis 2. It's quite nice, but but not as good as the previous two games as far as story and gameplay are concerned.

And it doesn't look better than 4-year-old Crysis, which is a damn shame.

Finally finished Demon's Souls after about 6 months of constant failure, now working through NG+. Can't wait for Dark Souls.

That's because they developed for the consoles (DirectX 9) ... but rumour has it that they will publish a DirectX 11 patch.

BTW: A pleasant side effect is that I am able to play the game at 1920x1080 with a GTX460 card.Smile

Just found out that Mega Man Universe was cancelled.  It's a bummer, too.  I was looking forward to this game so much! :(

Just hope now that Mega Man Legends 3 doesn't get cancelled due to Inafune leaving Capcom.

Let's face it: if they can't be bothered to change "Press start to begin" and "Adjust the brightness on your TV", they aren't releasing a DX11 patch. In four years of development, all you get out of Crysis 2 is a game that doesn't look as good as the original. They completely sold out (i.e. followed to the exclusion of alternates) on the console route and just lazily ported it to PC.

And there are so many other things that drive me up a ****ing wall. Narrow corridors everywhere, fog with 10m visibility, etc, etc. They could have saved a lot of time and money by just importing Crysis assets into Modern Warfare 2 and wouldn't have seen the tiniest bit of difference.

I heard some scattered reports a few weeks back of Microsoft recruiting people for the development of a new console. That suggest to me a 2013-2014 release, meaning we'll be graphically stuck in 2007 for 7 years.

Oh well, at least BioWare released some nice DX11 features + high-res textures with DA2, even if the game was pretty mediocre overall.

Demon's Souls was a fantastic game, even though it was often rage inducing (Valley of Defilement I'm looking at you...).  And yes, Dark Souls looks like its going to be a definite improvement, especially by making it open-world rather than level based.  Also interested to see how they made it even more difficult without breaking the game lol.

Out of curiosity, did you get your world's to full black/white soul tendency to meet all the special NPC's and what not? I remember getting Boletarian Palace to full-black and then Executionar Miranda just slaughtering me over and over...Still worth it.

A friend of mine on NG+9 told me it was a good idea to play through once without bothering with Soul Tendency and then playing with it on NG+, so that's what I'm doing. Gonna have fun playing through this again for sure.

The most rage inducing moment for me was definitely the Valley of Defilement, or possibly all of Latria's tower. I literally finished every other archstone before I was even able to do 3-1. Then I found out it was actually pretty simple

Ya, I also waited for NG+ before trying to do all the extra stuff.

No joke, the first time I went to the Tower of Latria it was creeping me out so much, I walked around a bit and turned around and left lol.  Then when I eventually came back I got paralyzed and 1-hit KO'd by the Octopus Warden thing, when we started sucking my face off with his tentacles I was just WTFFF.  I also found that the Tower was so dark I would often not see holes in the floor and just fall to my death, which was pretty lame. Also, Lord Rydyell wailing in his cell always made me laugh, I never actually got him out even on NG+. Man, remembering how awesome this game was makes me want to go play it...

Yeah I never got him out either. I found the key (I think) but I just wanted to finish the level so I skipped him. 4-2 creeped me out the most, mainly because of the spirit things that the reapers keep resurrecting. I could hardly ever see them and got bumped off ledges a bunch of times. I also got freaked out a bit in Latria when looking through the cells and some of the prisoners jumped out and attacked.
I'm playing right now, just working my way across the bridge towards the Tower Knight in NG+. It definitely is a good fun game, despite the difficulty.
...And I just got two-shotted by the blue eyed knight just before the fog for the battle.
