Welcome, Adee! Of all the band-related threads I follow, this is one of the best, with lots of activity and interesting comments. Hope you have lots of fun!
As for myself, I named my oldest child Kaylee . . .

I've become a huge Hogarth convert of late, in fact the Fish era seems far inferior to me now, I used to think Clutching at Straws and Script were definitive Marillion but i'll take Brave and Marbles any day now. And it's much more fun to explore the H era with so many different albums.

I first heard of Marillion when then played "Kayleigh" on MTV. I really liked them, but followed them a little bit. About 6 or 7 years ago a buddy of mine burned Six Of One... for me. Hearing the Fish stuff was like hearing from an old friend; however, it was the Hogarth era that really caught my attention. I always knew that Fish was gone and was replaced, but didn't really keep up. So many years I lost, but I've so enjoyed exploring this era of Marillion. It's been quite the journey and I've come to the conclusion that the only way Marillion could've survived was for Fish to leave. Things were so volatile between the two factions that the band was in the process of imploding. Hogarth comes in and it's like getting a B12 shot. Seasons End is such a great album, and even though they dipped a little, they've really come back in the last 10 years to regain their swagger. I mean, how many bands do you know who are 30 years in and creating new, brilliant music. A band this far along normally don't produce a masterpiece, but Marbles is simply breathtaking.
Brave is on a completely different level. They completely nailed it with Brave. So thick and full of power and raw emotion. In my opinion, it's the best thing they've ever created. It's one of those discs that I have to break out from time to time. Very good to see all of these fans, but most of all to see Hogarth supporters. Unrelated, but where's Joel? Haven't seen him around in a while. E |

It's too bad because Montréal used to be a Mecca for music stores back in the seventies & early 80s. Too many to mention. The only one I go to to once & a while to find second hand prog is Beatnick that maintains a small prog section in the back. |

Latest e-bulletin from the boys below:
Well with less than 2 weeks to go until we set out for our first Convention of 2011 in Holland suffice to say we're rehearsing night and day for the 3 nights of music we'll be playing - over 6 hours of music to rehearse and words to learn is no mean feat! We're then back home for a lie down for a few days and then off to Montreal to do it all again! Finally in May we will be performing the same sets at the inaugural UK convention in Leamington which sold out immediately it went on sale - so no pressure! In fact why are we writing this email when we should be rehearsing! When we get back from the conventions we're going to take it easy for a few days and then we'll be straight back into writing the new album - yes we know it's been a long time coming but we hope to have some more news for you later in the year. We're also hoping we'll be able to embark upon a big tour in 2012 so keep an eye onwww.marillion.com/tour for tour dates. H, Ian, Mark, Pete and Steve To all of you attending this year's conventions, have a great time. I'll be there in spirit at least |

I'm listening to Season's End right now. I think I listened to it once when it first was released. Never could understand how the band survived without Fish. Still can't but this is my project for this afternoon. To try and appreciate post Fish Marillion.

Try Brave & Marbles - then you'll see how they survived without Mr Dick.

I love Anoraknophobia despite it being quite pop rock at times i think it has some of H's best vocals and some really strong progressive material
