The Web were a group from the UK who are listed here under Jazz-Rock/Fusion. Their first album from 1968 is called Fully Interlocking. This album hasn't even been rated yet on PA. I've never heard any of their albums. This is from the first album, it's called "War Of Peace":

Samurai were a UK band that evolved from the group The Web. They are listed as Crossover here and made one self-titled album in 1971. I never owned this album, but I have heard it and it's good. I've heard these guys described as a "British Steely Dan". This is the song "Maudie James":

I think this is the best song from the album:

I'll post a song from The Web tomorrow.

Thanks for that! I've seen that cover on the PA home page before, but never heard their music. That was a good song.

^^^^^ I have the album on vinyl. Great alternate version of "Howard Greer." "Friendly Birds" is another great track from the album.

Here's a dark, gloomy, heavy Swiss Krautrock band, McChurch Soundroom with only one release, Delusion. German Import CD.

Touch were an American band who only released a self-titled album in 1968. They are listed here under Proto-Prog, but as far as I'm concerned the two following songs are 100% 'prog'.

I haven't heard the whole album yet, but this is a bonus song from the CD version called "The Spiritual Death Of Howard Greer (alternative version)":

Check out the f-bomb at the endLOL

This is probably the best song from the album, though:

Thanks for that! I was eventually going to post this song from the same album, "Suenos de Maniqui":

IMO, neither song is as good as the 19-minute "El Cortejo de un Dia Amarillo". As of today, I was the last person to review the album here. I gave it 5 stars. You can read my review on the artist page:

Reminded me of a Nirvana/Henry Cow hybrid. Very unique zravkapt.Cool

Eclectic prog rockers Bubu from Argentinia. Many different influences. Mostly instrumental with some vocals in Spanish.

Do you really live in Megan Fox?

Thanks! And I wish I lived in her. Or on.

Every zeuhl/jazz-fusion fan should try Eider Stellaire's debut.

Thanks Assaf for the JJ vid. That was a great performance, just as good, if not better than the studio version.

Thank you cannon for Polyphony, yet another group I've never heard of. Mellotron Storm's review of the album was good.

Polyphony from Virginia released only one album, thier s/t debut from 1972. PA has the band under the psychedelic/space rock sub-genre but to me it's more a heavy symphonic sound. My vinyl on the the US label Eleventh Hour is in good shape and was very hard to find 25 years ago.

Jaga Jazzist are a Norwegian band listend under Jazz Rock/Fusion. I've only heard their latest album, from which there is no streaming songs here. This song is from their 2001 album A Livingroom Hush, the title is "Going Down":

There is no such thing as too much Indo-Prog/Raga Rock. Bobby Callender is an American artist who released the album Rainbow in either 1968 or 1969(depending on your source). This is a song called "Nature". Get your bong ready:

Great thread.Clap

Being once an obscure vinyl collector I collected a lot of rare heavy psych/hard rock/proto-metal, krautrock, blues-rock, heavy prog and psychedelia back in the day. I hope you don't mind me throwing up a couple of posts.

Hairy Chapter was a heavy krautrock band with two releases, Eyes(1970) and Can't Get Through(1971) which I have on the German label Bacillus. Never seen thier first release on original vinyl though it has been re-isssued on CD.

Mekong Delta are a Tech/Extreme Prog Metal band from Germany. This is a song from their 1989 album The Principle Of Doubt called "Curse Of Reality":

I like their interpretation of classical pieces, it almost makes you think that classical music was meant to be played by metal bands! For example, here is their version of the classic "Night On A Bare Mountain":

Because you boys and girls have been good, you get a bonus song! Here's their version of the Genesis song "Dance On A Volcano":
