What do you think of it Rob? I was very disappointed with it after the superb The Hazards of Love album.Nothing really stood out for me and I grew bored with it.

| I wasn't expecting anything like The Hazards of Love (or The Crane Wife). I was expecting a return to folkier music (like in Castaways and Cutouts). This album is decidedly neither. It's straight-up country music. And I'm okay with that because I love country music, and this is really great country music. Very positive first listen.

I never really listened to The Decemberists until fairly recently and only have The Crane Wife and The Hazards of Love.I was expecting something similar with this new album and just didn't get it.Plus,I don't like country music.

Both are prog-leaning folk albums with incredibly interesting musical passages and lyrics. You would probably not like Her Majesty at all.
Their EP The Tain is well worth it if you get it at a good price.

I really liked the atmosphere, although I'm not as wild about the music itself. Definitely a good album on first listen though.
