Yes, it's pretty great, but still for me nothing beats M.D.K. Their first two albums are also up there for me.
Now, in the same vein :

Haha, OK you are right, Magma is by far better.
Seriously, Koenji is some really hard stuff to get into. Some great, great stuff other not so. I know you don't think the same way, saw your 5-stars review.

Yeah, I like the French Zeuhl and Japanese Zeuhl both...lately I've been more in the mood for the Japanese style...just a bit more crazy. My listen of Attahk yesterday was the first time I've listened to Magma in almost a month.

A month without Magma? You were drunk or something?
What do you think of Attahk?

I love it. The funky elements are great for me. It was the latest stop in my (very slow) quest to review all the Magma studio albums in chronological order...next is Merci. That one may be interesting, because I actually like the album but I realize it's not likely more than a 2 star album as far as the site goes.

^yeah, Attahk's groovy aspect is great especially on Nono and Last Seven Minutes. I'm glad that they used that groove on their modern albums.
Merci, ah, I've only listened to Otis various times and I love it. But you got to know that I'm also a crazy music fan that likes some semi-disco/r&b once in a while. But man, Otis is one of a kind, Christian's vocals are out-of-this-world, so much soul in that song.

Yeah, as I said, I enjoy Merci, but I know it's an album only for fans of Magma AND disco/funk/r&b type stuff. Now this for me:

This album descibes my feelings towards all good music
Started on Nursery Rythmes 51 years back and I have not stopped one iota
