Currently working through the Humble Indie Bundle #2, basically 5 fantastic independently developed games.
You can also choose the price you wish to pay for all 5, as well as choosing where your money goes (Charities, the developers, the event organisers). Awesome concept and even better games. |

Put mine to the devs and to the EFF. Per the legendary George Carlin, "Ya know what I say? f**k the children!" |

Ok, Octodad is ridiculously hard. Maybe I just don't have enough patience.

Best of the series so far.
I also recommend the downloadable game Limbo and the downloadable PC game Minecraft, which my son found and now everyone in my house is seriously addicted to.

I just bought an Atari 2600 at the flea market for my sister and brother-in-law. It came with 20 games, some classics (Breakout, Donkey Kong) and a game with a reputation (E.T. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E.T._the_Extra-Terrestrial_(Atari_2600)). It's not for me, but I do get to test it out.

I'd keep it,retro gaming is huge and they sell for quite a bit of money.I had someone offer me $400 for my NES.
I remember playing the ET game when it came out and being very disappointed in it.

For the first bundle I gave half to the devs/half to the EFF, so this time I did half devs/half Child's Play.
I've heard a ton of buzz about that lately, really need to check it out sometime.
Minecraft has stolen weeks of my life so far this year simply wonderful game. If anyone's interested in getting Minecraft, I'd reccomend doing so today - It's going beta on the 20th, and that means it'll not only go up 50% in price but you'll also miss out on getting any and every future update for free, like you do if you buy during alpha. |

Seconded. We paid 10 pounds(about 13 bucks) in it's Alpha stage and all future updates will be free of charge.Helluva good idea if you want to play this game.
BTW....if you check it out don't be turned off by the super low rez textures. It's part of the appeal.Once you start playing the game and getting into the meat of it you will be seriously hooked.

$400 for a NES? Is it the standard version or one of the other ones (NES 2) that loads cartridges from the top? I thought the $50 I spent on a NES was a bit overpriced. I would keep the Atari, but I've been having a hard time trying to find them something that I know they don't have. If they don't want it or get sick of it, I'll gladly take it back. Oh and by the way, I like the avatar. Edited by Stooge - December 18 2010 at 22:39 |
