I realise now that I was a bit of a troll there. Not that I knew what a troll was. I just wanted to start with a splash. This was the first forum I got involved in properly after using the site for a while and I didn't really know how to behave.

Some might say I still don't.......

BTW of all the classic prog giants Yes are my least favourite (occasionally brilliant certainly but more often sorta samey to me)

Also..my typical post early on

*lurk alot. See thread about prog metal*

Oh yeah! I like "x" they're pretty awesome.

Also I've been told Ansen had the greatest first post ever.

Is it true his very first post was literally just a giant rant about why Green Day is terrible? LOLRawks

Halfway through that thread someone posted "reed lover is a mong". (for no apparent reason). LOL

I must have been about 12 the last time I used that word.

Oh, how I miss KE9. Those were the days. Now he knew how to troll!!

I'll try and find my first post. I'm sure it was just as inane and pointless as anything I post these days, probably just slightly less bitter and opinionated.

Just read my contribution to that thread. Christ on a bike, what a w&nker! It reads like I'd been honking on a crack pipe all afternoon.

Ah, I've heard about KE9 but never had the "pleasure" of reading one of his posts.

^^ He apparently threatened to track down and murder numerous people.

His posts may be cached somewhere. I hope so. I'd love to read them again.

LOL

I find it embarrassing to read those old posts of mine.

@harmonium  I just did a search for my user name looking for post a year or older. Not sure if that was my first post and my first thread or not. I guess it could be my first post too.

Apparently my early days were filled with starting threads about Kansas and Triumph that veered sharply off-topic.  And apparently I was a bit of a dick about it.

Phil Collins really should be added to prog-related; after all he was the drummer for Brand X and Genesis.
