And so the musicians had spoken. As the music started to play, it echoed over the silence of the record store. The title track roared with the sound of John McLaughlin's fiery guitar and the buildup of the tension throughout the room worsened. Some knew that their time would come sooner than they would prefer, while others still remained confident that they would survive.

Despite the tense circumstances, they were inspired. They knew what they had to do.

Yeah, basically, but when I'm a player I personally hate randomizing my vote (it feels like I'm throwing a dart and the chances of lynching a civvie are higher than Mafia/indie). So I usually try to see if I feel more comfortable voting for someone based on any of their posts/actions (or by lack of posts). As the game goes on, you get more actuality in your feelings behind evaluating other players, and perhaps some visible concrete evidence in posts or decisions by the players.

Gotta love Day 1.

And now I will not contribute much more to the discussion unless there are questions for me; I will resume my duties as host rather than as a colleague. I'm just trying to help out by providing perspective because I remember how it was to be a new player ("what the hell do I do?").


I will not be around much today because I have classes until 9:00PM. Just warning you guys now, so I'll have to answer any questions or anything else after that time.

You vote for someone who is playing. You ask questions, and you try to determine based on what the host says in his posts and what people say in the thread who may be bad.

Day one is hard, like Ciubia said.

Question @ Host~ Who missed the vote, and has everyone checked in?

I wouldn't be adverse to voting off a no show Wink

You vote for the player (the screennamed individual). Each participant is playing their role, but the participant/player is the focus. The role is like a costume or a role in a play, if that makes sense.

I do not believe I have seen any posts from Anthony H., Necktie, The Truth, or ThreeLittleBirds in this game thread yet (I counted posts in the day 0 poll thread too, while it was still alive).
