Freud says otherwise ... But seriously, how much actual plumbing have you seen the little guy do? |

I know, right? And it's like every time Mario goes through the trouble of trying to hook up with her, Toad is always like "Psych. She ain't here, dog." |

All this talk and no one has mentioned the airport level in Modern Warfare 2 where you slaughter unarmed civilians in cold blood.
What did you guys think of that?

I haven't played through the campaign but I've watched but my brothers have. I thought it was in bad taste but then again I've slaughtered untold thousands of stickmen in the past. |

Because Ubisoft is just crazy enough to do it.

1) You don't have to shoot them. 2) Your character is a soldier undercover. 3) It's war. 4) The game even warns you several times ahead of time what is coming up, so it's not exactly like you should be terribly shocked by the time it comes along. In other words, I have no problem with it. Fox news of course had a field day with it, but children will be children.

I loved that mission actually... quite shocking and plays a key role in the narrative. Also, you don't have to shoot the people yourself, even though I did... |

THAT would be cool! It wouldn't be a "clean" game, but that would be a very cool concept IMO. |

I was gonna mention that, didn't get around to it though. I thought it was more of a shock-based value attention grab more than anything, and it seemed to work pretty well. Since you have an option to skip it and tons of warning about it, I don't see it as a problem. |

^ What an ugly, dated FPS. Though, it was revolutionary at the time. Folks still hadn't quite figured out how to make Shooters work on home consoles, then games like Turok and Goldeneye came out, and suddenly it all made sense.
Nice find. |

Turok, even as old as it is.
Fired up the ol' Xbox with SW: KOTOR this morning, and damn that game has barely aged. I didn't remember the soundtrack being as epic as it is, either. WAY better than KOTOR 2 in every aspect. |

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.
Admittedly, It's a God of War III clone, but it delivers, and it delivers well. The voice acting and soundtrack are superb too. Edited by Zebedee - October 09 2010 at 19:23 |

Deus Ex. For the first time. And enjoying it greatly. |

It's 4 AM here in Pilsen and I'm wondering whether I should resume playing Deus Ex (I decided that I'm listening Gazpacho's new album for quite a long time and that review would be proper climax to it) again. Either Deus Ex or long wanted sleep. We know what is going to win, don't we ? I wonder how this game managed to escape me for so long time. |

I really like it so far... the save/checkpoint system is pretty frustrating, but otherwise I think it's really good. I'm also a huge fan of Doom, so that's probably part of the reason why I like this game so much. |

Let's see...this weekend, I played all of the Secret Armory of General Knoxx expansion for Borderlands, finishing up my first playthrough with this character, then started the second playthrough last night. Logged somewhere between 14 and 16 hours of it between Friday night and Saturday night (I was up until at least 4 both nights playing).
