Sorry Matt. Join an online dating service, meet a girl and get away?

That sounds good, know any good ones? Tongue

Go out an exercise, maybe you'll meet someone that way Wink.

I don't know about progarchives. It worked for some people though.

Last.fm worked for me Big smile

I'll keep that in mind. Someone did try to start a thread about that a while back. LOL

Ooooh, two people saw a flash outside.  Could it be aliens invading us to steal my prog collection?

I would be peeved (about Portal), but....a borderline genre/band that is somewhat kinda sorta maybe proggy being included?

That would NEVER happen on PA! Shocked
NEVER!

Hehehehe

The lyrics are... well, nonsensical.  They're supposed to be Lovecraftian, but...

I totally am fine with them being here, and I think I get the rationale as to why.  Besides, who's the metalhead here, anyways? LOL

What is that rationale then?

The lyrics eh? I don't think a band should be added just because their lyrics are "proggy" (what are proggy lyrics anyway?) It's all about whether the music is prog or not, yes?

Anyway, I wasn't questioning their inclusion,  I bolded what I was referring to. That one song did not sound like prog in any way to me, that's all. :P

What is the rationale?

Is it more of that "aesthetic" or "mindset" BS?
IMHO the music is the music. Lyrics, stage get up and their "mindset" or intent has sh*t to do with it.
Now I only know that one song so Im not judging the band, just saying in general.

The Cyanide and Happiness comic kind of indicated that it wasn't going to be serious at all. LOL It would have been interesting if something more came of it though.

I think I'll listen to the new Cloudkicker again.

Actually... my dongle kind of stopped working too.  Making me think it was a spike, rather than a power cut, or something.  For it to affect something that can still work using the laptop's battery, it must have been something weird.

Nonono, you guys don't get it, it is about the music.  Portal aren't your typical techdeth band.  It's not the mindset, it's the fusion of other metal styles and way they manipulate the genre's characteristics.
