You don't have to watch the whole thing, I certainly didn't. But all the other videos of them on Youtube, while shorter, are even worse quality, so I went with that.

I am part way through watching an 11 part Eddie Izzard thing so I don't feel like it at the moment.

A bunch of random noises? Not very impressive.

The shows I've seen were surprisingly diverse, although still not too many women, but a lot more than you would expect based on internet posting. The woman next to me at Zorn clearly did not want to be there, it was hilarious, so maybe part of it is dragging girlfriends. I was sitting with an African guy at Brotzmann who looked like he was 45 and drove a cab in DC, he came over to America in the '80s. I don't understand at all, though, why you would drag your SO to an event you are certain he or she will not like. :/

What was weird was all the women at the noise show by Lesley Flanigan, but I think they were all her friends from the way they were talking to her afterwords. I wonder if they really liked it that much or were just being nice? But the ticket volunteer that night was a 40 year old woman with two sons who lived in NJ, so you never know...

BTW for those that care, Zorn and Frith are going to be playing together and Frith solo at The Stone 10/30. I am tempted to try to make it but it will be expensive to go just for that and I'm going to be very busy with school.

My parents don't want me to get a new guitar.  They think I should be "worrying about how to pay for college instead of for a new guitar" instead.  F*ck them, I put two thirds of my motherf*cking money away over the summer for motherf*cking college fund and sequester the other f*cking third and pick up another f*cking job just so I'd have enough to get a new guitar, I went a whole two f*cking months without buying a CD.  F*ck.
