Amalia, do you like ISIS at all?
I have never listened to them. What are they like?
Well, they play post-metal, which is a very slow-moving, atmospheric kind of metal. It's very emotionally charged and has lots of phenomenal heavy-soft dynamics, and ISIS are probably my favorite of them all, with Cult of Luna being a close second.
You like Opeth a lot so I'm assuming you can tolerate the occasional harsh vocals.
Try this, see if you like it. This album and the one following it, Panopticon, are incredible masterpieces of post-89 music.

I doubt I ever will find the documents. I can get back as far as the 1640s in Chertsey and the earliest spelling there is Yoel.
The village of Ewell isn't all to far away. Maybe I'm wrong and it has a completely different origin but the proximity of Chertsey from Ewell seems to fit.
The thing is, there's a family in Kent with a similar name and they originate from an area of Kent with a place called Ewell Minster nearby.
Plus there's the town of Yeovil in Somerset which maybe where we're from as well. The origin of all those towns/villages are the same. As is a place called Ewelme in Oxfordshire. I think it means "A bend on a river", or somesuch.
At least this abundance of leads and info have given you a certain grasp of local history, which is nice. Eastern Europe is so very different from this perspective, there never was a culture of the written document in the old times, or a culture of preserving the documents of the past. So now if you want to go beyond the 19th century when searching for private/family histories, it's very difficult. Even statal history lacks lots of documents when you hit the 16th or even the 17th century, not to speak of the truly mediaeval times, when it looks like nobody cared about writing anything down (of course they did, the documents just didn't survive).
Cool, that's it for me then, I'll be off for bed. Good night guys.

Research papers for astrophysics severely suck hard when you are only mildly interested in the topics you're allowed to research, unsure of the science behind them, and unsure of your ability to write scientific research papers.
