Combat Astronomy are on the heavy, metal edge of avant-jazz/prog (which I still think it's their correct assignement), but they're so heavy that I've seen them categorized as industrial rock/metal on other places than PA (admittedly the guys behind the project took inspiration from industrial rock/metal, he says it in the interview Luke took him).
