Pretty awesome! Clap
I've only heard a few tracks... but they were very interesting.
Give them a try. I need to get more by them.

So is all chamber rock.

LOL

Not at all.  That's the daftest thing I've ever heard you say.

Chamber Rock actually has atmosphere.  Many have dark tones, many have more melancholic ones.

The XX just have that grating post-rock/indie thing going on I don't like with bland vocals.  There's no bight there.

Led Bib are just okay, but we've already done this.

If they rock hard enough to be here, and I think they do, then they're avant-prog as far as I'm concerned. If you start calling them avant-jazz we're going to have to start adding Cecil Taylor and all those people and that will be a massive headache.

Precisely.  That's why they're here.  They rock hard enough.

Jean Louis though more than rock.  They absolutely destroy most metal bands.

Umm...
I've never listened to Jean Louis.  Please explain.

They are really intense for being a jazz trio, they blow me away every time.

James thinks Jean Louis is more brutal than most metal because of the avant-ness. I don't remember much of Jean Louis but I would tend to agree, free jazz is a lot more hardcore than almost all metal.

BTW that album Slava submitted for Tatsuya Yoshida in the ZART thread is really nice, seems like my taste has gotten used to avant-jazz/rock very fast. I mean this is easy listening already; the new Peter Brotzmann & Paal Nilssen-Love, now that's something really tough.

They do.  I think I have one of them... I remember checking the link.

Let me see if I can find them.

Which one did you listen to? They've released about a million albums together.

Well, one oout of the two musicians is a chamber-rock musician, so they're very boring. LOL Really, I found it quite dull... but at least some of you guys might like it. It's a sort of electro/psychedelic world fusion.

Yes I can.

Much like Guapo's Black Oni is also more brutal than most metal as well.

I'll take Black Oni and Jean Louis over terrible metal bands any day of the week.  Most metal bands just don't do heaviness any more.

Woodcuts. It felt like swallowing small pieces of wood. LOL But I'm definitely interested in giving it more listens.
