I'm hoping for Christmas, although it doesn't seem likely between exams and all unfortunately. It's all written up this stage (at about 2 hours of material written and about 45 minutes of super low quality rushed demo versions recorded) so I basically want to work on some new ideas that I have, finish off the other hour or so of stuff and then pick the best parts to create a 30 minute or so demo.

So currently, and tomorrow, I'm working on
-The tracks I want to finish
-Re-recording, adding to and editing the tracks which I've already written
-Choosing whether or not to add vocals/lyrics (which will probably add a month or two for writing for the time it takes)
-Getting a rough idea of which tracks should/will make the final cut.

Really having a fun time making it so far. Hopefully the audio quality on the final product isn't terrible I'll post it up for free download for sure, btw, and I'm making CDr's with booklets for some friends and other people who are interested, not sure how many I'll end up making though. I don't really want this to end up becoming super serious or a chore.
That sounds interesting. I'm really looking forward to hear if your album will be able to top Conor's Recordungs. LOL
Also, you should definitely add the album art to the download, just like PtS.

That's the plan - if it has lyrics it'll probably take longer to create the booklet, although at this stage it doesn't look like it will. The booklet will probably just be a few scans of pieces of ink on canvas art I've made around the same theme over the past few months. I'm hand making 10 or so CDr's as is, possibly more if there's interest. I'll be making the ISO available for download anyway, so if anyone wants to burn a CDr they can.

So far, most of the tracks which seem to be the best out of them all are shoegaze-y sort of stuff (fairly similar in style to Jesu) although it's still all subject to change and some of it is very post-metally in parts. The longest track thus far is about 9 minutes, although I'm not really happy with most of that one so far so it'll change a lot before the final product. Most of the guitar has lots of delay with distortion although a lot of it is also cleaner playing too. It's pretty disjointed, to be honest, mostly just random tracks that don't sound at all similar

Oh, there's a few bits which are a little Yes-sy I guess, although mostly just because of the synth/guitar sound.

Yeah, we used to wait until the admins closed them. Tongue  As for the title, those are up to the starters.

I don't even know what Grinderman II is.

Hiya June.

In my book, these guys can do no wrong.

Grinderman is a side project of a couple of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds members, Jon. The hairiest ones.

I say the world needs more electric bouzouki...

I'll have to check something of theirs out, then.  I've never listened to Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds either though. LOL

I don't know if I am excited about any music that might come out in the next months. Maybe Fripp's album? If it's ambient I'll like it but nothing more, but it might rock out though, so I don't know. The new Radiohead? Some internet hype would help, but the guys from the band have given us nothing yet (though from what I know they've already recorded it). A new Mars Volta? Again curious, but not excited. Maybe a new Flaming Lips would really excite me, but it's too soon for that.

What about the new Jean Louis, Alex?  There's something else I'm looking forward to as well, but I can't remember it..oh!  The new Aranis.

I'm looking forward to Kayo Dot's Stained Glass, A Genuine Freakshow's debut, Tartar Lamb 2 (although that's due in January) and PoS's Road Salt II. That's about it this year, though.
