I like Lady G as she is funky, edgy, unique, and so is her music -
quite of the future! .. I like her lots. And people should sop saying
she is trying to be like Christina Aguilera purely because they don't
like Lady Gaga and Christina appears to be the 'good excuse' for
that.. I feel she brings something dynamic and fresh to music, and
she totally rocks!

why? because there are non-musical sounds (telephones)? Well, these were
brought into music by futurists, into popular music by Pink Floyd, but
nowadays they are common, and there's nothing floydish here.
I would also like to point out the fact that lady gaga didn't brought anything new to music. Why? Hmm, lets just watch the music video by Gwen Stefani, from 2004 (there's also 7 minute long version of this song, here goes gaga's innovation in that matter either): as you can hear it's exactly the same thing, except it's better. The music and the costumes. The one thing that differs here is imagination and originality. Check also Gwen's later song "Hollaback Girl" then you'll know where Gaga's semi-raping verses came from. Now gaga is posing to be so innovative and people are buying it. Why? Because pop listeners are just too ignorant and lazy to look 4 years in the past. Everything is so new for them :D Maybe we should envy their short memory, for us is just same old same old :) |

Never heard her, but the first song I looked up had auto-tune. I don't get why it's so socially acceptable for people who don't usually admit to liking pop to like her. I mean I've got plenty of metal head friends who own her record. Sounds like the typical stuff you'd find on the radio. Personally I like catchy music as much as I like complex music, but this does nothing for me. And as for the argument about her writing her own stuff, well it's obvious this stuff is heavily produced. Thing is that's nothing new, but it's certainly no "Thriller" if you ask me. Just my two cents.

No matter what he does, Walken is THE MAN. |

I'm quite irresistibly attracted to black women, who have naturally big lips 'the size of a frog' as you described. I don't find my ex-girlfriend 'vulgar' at all. Not that I support a woman using fakery to change her natural appearance, but still. And on everything else you said about Fox, I do agree with you. I haven't found the woman attractive for years.

Women with natural big lips are beautiful. But they never, ever look the same as those fake lips many women carry around today... like Fox's... I love big lips. But lips made of real stuff... not of some gel...

You know I thought the same thing at first too. I thought she was just another Britney Spears. Of course the differences between the good stuff and the okay stuff are often so subtle, that people who don't like either won't be able to tell the difference.
Perhaps somebody who only listens to top 40 would pronounce Hawkwind and Pink Floyd to basically be the same, even though most prog heads would say Pink Floyd is better. Maybe the same dynamic is at play. Maybe people who reguarly listen to the radio would be able to explain what makes Lady Gaga different.
I think what really hammers this point home is this: I could never tell apart two pieces of indian classical music to save my life.

Good point indeed, because if two pieces are in two different raagas, there's no way one cannot tell them apart.
