Say NO! to post-2010 Walter, it's shamelessly derivative and unoriginal

Yeah, it seem like a POP-Walter rather than a Prog-Walter.

Where is our hero of the pre-89 heroes? Has he sold out to the man with his generic posts?

I remember when Walter was cool; now he's just repeating himself. A very non-prog attitude for such a clever man indeed.

New music isn't progressive at all; its derivative junk that needs to be weeded out of PA. The sooner we do it, the better.

They are right, Walter. You're posts used to annoy me a tad, but lately your posts are just repetitive nonsense only serving as a waste of space. Like others already mentioned, there is no progression at all. Maybe, Walter (this is just a suggestion), it's time to take a look at some other posters that are known to irritate people and draw some influence from them.

Silence, post-89 hack.

I was making my own music at three-years-old, thank you very much.

Rehearsing in a bath tub for a debut album called Stir the Waters, I suppose Wink.

Edit: By the way, my posts are occasionally silly.

So it's just Post 89 Prog music you hate?

Often silly but capable of being serious-I think most Zappa fans will agree with this.Always serious = dream theater fans.

LOL Ahh it feels good to dig at Dream Theatre fans again.

Good thread, Slarti......let's clear the air.

VERY Often silly, but capable of being deadly serious. I like to laugh, and I like to laugh with people who share my sense of humour. But then again, humour is as subjective and individual as music....not everyone appreciates the same things. One thing I have noticed about PA, tho....I've yet to find a truly malicious member, and that's a rarity, in this day and age.

I've got a twisted sense of humour.
If I ever get up anyones nose, I'd prefer to be told, rather than let things get out of hand.  Smile
I don't get any kicks out of deliberately winding people up, but I'm not afraid to voice my true opinions, either.

If I'm being jokey, or agreeable, I use Wink  or  LOL  or  Tongue  or  Big smile  or  Thumbs Up

If I'm truly pissed, I'll use  Disapprove  or  Thumbs Down  or  Angry  or  Censored  or  Dead

If I'm wrecked, I use  Wacko  , but I'd NEVER consider using  Pig  , under ANY circumstances.

Maybe we need MORE emoticons.

Wacko

I was also trying to get way too many people to check out my song a while ago (hey, check out the song, its in my sig).

Why don't you use a hyper-link to your song, in your sig?  Ermm  Wink

Can't you go back and edit your 'pulled pork' post in 'Prog Chefs Unite'? That's a golden opportunity !!!

I love this collaborative effort that sometimes goes on: the pyramid builders. Tongue

I feel this thread in extreme danger of sliding down into Just For Fun.  And...and....and...I've come to terms with that, well kind of. Star (don't ask me about that, I've just never used it yet)
