I seem to be seeing an increase in posts with humor.  If I've been being a bad influence I apologize.  Personally I love seeing humor in posting.  How about you?

Poster child seems appropriate given my post count and user name.

Also, this reminds me of Ben's http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=69641 - PA member typology.

It also occurred to me that we also may have some folks who stick to the prog music forums, stick to the non music forums, and just stick to the music.  I don't suppose we'll be hearing from people who stay away from polls like the plague. LOL

My favorite poll type are those that ask you to choose between two different things that are unrelated and make you go "what the hell? I dunno?".

Define "poster child" though (I know that's not me, I barely ever post in the prog sections, but I'm curious about what I'd have to do if I ever wanted to be one)

Its not about birth date, its about recorded music. Any post-89 buffoon that dares sully the legacy of the dead art known as music by making facile imitations of it must be prosecuted for crimes against culture.

So you're saying that a band who was founded post-89 but only plays live and doesn't record anything is alright?

Yeah, one thing is trying to be annoying, the other is just offensive. Though knowing Robert quite well, I doubt he would be offended by a post-89 user hack.

I'm pretty non serious in all my posts, and often times people bother me and I'll say anything just to get them pissed at me.  Which often leads to a lot of people thinking I believe things I truly don't.  But I usually contribute as well, even though you can find some purely annoying posts of mind that contributed nothing but other's anger.

I was also trying to get way too many people to check out my song a while ago (hey, check out the song, its in my sig).

They are right, Walter. You're posts used to annoy me a tad, but lately your posts are just repetitive nonsense only serving as a waste of space. Like others already mentioned, there is no progression at all. Maybe, Walter (this is just a suggestion), it's time to take a look at some other posters that are known to irritate people and draw some influence from them.

Good thread, Slarti......let's clear the air.

VERY Often silly, but capable of being deadly serious. I like to laugh, and I like to laugh with people who share my sense of humour. But then again, humour is as subjective and individual as music....not everyone appreciates the same things. One thing I have noticed about PA, tho....I've yet to find a truly malicious member, and that's a rarity, in this day and age.

I've got a twisted sense of humour.
If I ever get up anyones nose, I'd prefer to be told, rather than let things get out of hand.  Smile
I don't get any kicks out of deliberately winding people up, but I'm not afraid to voice my true opinions, either.

If I'm being jokey, or agreeable, I use Wink  or  LOL  or  Tongue  or  Big smile  or  Thumbs Up

If I'm truly pissed, I'll use  Disapprove  or  Thumbs Down  or  Angry  or  Censored  or  Dead

If I'm wrecked, I use  Wacko  , but I'd NEVER consider using  Pig  , under ANY circumstances.

Maybe we need MORE emoticons.

Wacko

If you have really been paying attention, most PA members that are often serious are incapable of being silly...

Who said something about pissing folks off?

Rush Sucks!

Naw, I've done that one too much. Iron Maiden's new album is rotten garbage by old men with no soul!

Eh, I'm trying too hard to not tr hard enough.

My favorite word is "fa****". I don't even have anything against homosexuals, I just absolutely love the word.

Anywho, I used to be a serious poster, now I'm a poster, seriously. Anyone who's read my new reviews knows what sort of poster I am (a big dicked one) mhm.

And with Alitare at least we all know where he stands.

Not one of those "is he trying to do that?" deals

So people that are upset by him really should not be, pretty obvious what poster you are Dustin.
Unless all of that IS a facade by you...in which case you've bested all of us!

I want to upset people. It's strange. Like, what I say upsets folks a lot. I want that, not because I wana upset folks, but because it's entertaining to see folks be upset when I am not intending them to be upset.

Errr, that's complicated. I WANT people to be upset by what I say, but it's not my INTENTION. My goal is for people to get upset by words that I say that aren't meant to upset.

Holy hell. My head can't take it, no more! Here's a penis joke!

What did the penis say to the mailman?

how do you get aHEAD?! Ahahaha! Get it? The penis lives in a residential area by which he can obtain mail!
