LongLOL

This is actually my first time where I plan on hearing it from start to finish, but I've heard it off and on throughout several weeks in the car whenever I've gone some place.

Were I to rate it right now (certainly won't be reviewing it for quite some time), I'd say a solid four stars.  But for a few song choices (how about a Sola Scriptura medley instead of "Lifeline" and "Help Me?"), and that the vocals are too loud in places (there is some clipping I hear), this is an absolute treasure of live Neal Morse.

I should say that I slightly prefer ? Live to this 3-disc set (the version of ? is far better on ? Live than it is on So Many Roads).

However, you get a wonderful version of "At the End of the Day" with gorgeous female vocals and an extended organ solo that is mindblowing.  You also get a brilliant treat: "Walking on the Wind" is nothing short of amazing here.

Damn, did I just review this album?  LOL

Thanks Robert. Thumbs Up You may have just sold a triple-disc album to two fanboys (me and my dad LOL).

Do you have the Testimony Live DVD? My dad and I watched that a few weekends ago and it's AMAZING. Clap

Well you'd better fix that, right? WinkTongue

Seriously, I highly recommend the Testimony Live DVD. It has Testimony in its entirety and a second DVD with We all Need Some Light, The Light, and Stranger in Your Soul (I think). I'm pretty sure there's bonus material as well. Anyway, Mike Portnoy plays on the entire thing (and does a fantastic job), and I dare to say that the live version is as good as the studio version. There is also a violin and cello player, which works really well for helping reproduce the orchestrations on the original album.

I really envy my dad... he saw them on that tour twice. Angry
