As for Isis, that is sad news.  I've been listening to them since before I knew anything about post metal.  Maybe some more post metal projects will sprout from the band members though.
If you want some good math rock with vocals check out Faraquet - The View from this Tower, Bygones, Medications, Maps & Atlases, Drive Like Jehu, Owls, American Football. I am not a big fan of the last two bands, but a lot of people seem to like them.

new Maps & Atlases is incredibly boring, disgusting 
new Canyons of Static is very good, one of the best i've heard recently 
I listened to Motek's s/t, i was surprised how great this is, i have heard long time ago their Port Sunshine, but this is way better.

Just saw Russian Circles live!

They were so good.  It was about 15 times better than anything on their albums, and I love their albums.  One of the coolest shows I've ever seen

They're coming here tonight and I was tempted to go see them based on what little I know of them - but I just couldn't make myself go see three bands live I don't really know by myself, especially after being out all morning/afternoon already.

Yes, yes you are.  Seriously, you're missing out.  If you like metal in the slightest bit you will enjoy Skeletonwitch and High on Fire, and I've come to the conclusion that Russian Circles is absolutely GODLY live

Is the post Rock-Post Metal genre is the new popular trend related to progressive rock? It seems to me that 80% of the new album add on Pa are coming from that genre. Why?

I thought it was quite good. If one accepts that perhaps they want to incorperate more subtelty to their sound and not just be all tapping. After seeing them live on friday I must say that their new songs are catchy as well as virtuistic.
 
Yes, this is a new direction in math rock, but it had to be explored. I feel that this new sound of theirs is perhaps (unintentionally) closer to the classic strains of prog, in both spirit and sound than anything Don Cab or Battles has recorded. (just to mention a couple big names)
