Just come back from my In-Laws and had to suffer the usual 945 holiday pics from a recent vacation in Florida.
One of the themes running through these snaps is:
What a set of fat bloaters you Americans are!!!
Every beach photo has some fat redneck dad with his piggy redneck wife and litter of bouncing young porkers.
I mean you lot are gross,and should be ashamed of your porcine appearance!
This fat Yank is trying to eat the biggest hotdog I've ever seen!!!

Of course not all Americans are fat but there definitely exists a specific kind of American obesity that you don't see anywhere else in the world. Or at least,you didn't until the slavering beast of American popular cultural emperialism (try saying that after a few pints!), came along and devoured the world and turned classical,beautiful and civilized Europe into a playground for American vulgarity of the most moronic kind and started a cultural regression process the likes of which history hasn't witnessed since the dark ages!
I like Americans,I really do. It's America I can't stand. But then again, I can stand very few things. It makes my life very difficult.  
And parts of this post might conceivably be meant as a joke and should perhaps not be taken at face value. At least not entirely.
Oh, I truly hate Fridays!!

A recent survey here in Norway revealed that it's now the norm to be overweight. Junk food and tv are chiefly to blame. It's amazing our bodies can take this treatment! Well,it can't entirely since diabetes is increasing rapidly.

I don't know about most Americans, but I could definitely stand to lose some weight. In fact, it looks like I'll have to...because Reed Lover's approval is so important to me

I had slowly turned into a tub of lard over the last couple of years so I went on a diet starting a few months ago and now I've lost 17 kilos and have only 4-5 left before I once more have my ideal weight. It's a weight off my mind. (Groan!)

Have you non-Americans ever had the pleasure of attending a real Southwestern Cook-off? Crappy fast food isn't the only way we bulk up. I'd be happy to singlehandedly add five pounds to everyone on the planet with my roasted Habanero Chili...
...but it may be a bit too intense for those of you raised on things like boiled meat and weak tea. Here's a phrase you never see: Gourmet British Isles Cuisine
